Hi guys...

i just applied my passport around 2 weeks ago...

however, i realized that at the back of my passport is without the chip inside, compared to my gf and brother's 1, theirs are with the chip at the back...

Izit the new system? or izit oredy built in? or izit mine has some problem?
*

You might want to check with the issuer cause I think passport has inner chip buildin for easier verification

Hi,Applying new passport takes how many hours or days?

Normally three to five working days

Here's my question about Transit visa China:
Anyone know if I need to apply transit visa if I am traveling from Tokyo to Beijing and from Beijing to Singapore. My connecting flight is only 4 hours and I wont be going out of the airport due to time constraint ...

Hi ineser,

In fact, you don't need to apply any transit visa if you'll be staying in the airport less than 24 hours without steping out to the custom.
In case you're worry about that, you're suggested to apply a travelling visa. biggrin.gif

Bring IC and your old passport if there is any for your new passport.. There will be a lot of shops near the immigration department and they will help you to take passport photo and photocopy and even fill the form for you..

Your baby one, I am not sure..

My 1st passport was 2 years old but your baby is a little too young to ask her to standstill..

Hi, I have a problem wanted to ask.

Here's the story goes:

My gf she had a passport last time during her child day under her parent's one. End of the month, she is going to holiday with me. So she needs to apply for new one since she is now adult already.

but the problem now is her parent lost her child passport during house shifting, until today they only realise since she needs to make a new adult passport for herself.

does she needs to bring along this child passport while apply for new one?

please help.

thanks

(sorry, didn't realised I am using my bro's account laugh.gif )

When, I used my bro account and posted and seems that nobody answer my question. So I decided to open this thread.

The story goes like this:

My gf had a child passport that tag together with her mom when she was a small kid back then.

Now, after so many donkey years, the child passport was expired and she is growing adult now.

When she going for passport application, is it considered as new application or what?

Another thing is, the child passport that her mom carried last time was missing.

Can she pretend don't know anything and go there for new application?

Advice needed.

thanks

It is best to just inform them that her child passport in her mom's passport is already expired @ right now, she has no passport at all.

One way or another logically, she still need to apply for a new passport as an adult now if she wants to travel overseas.

(sorry, using my bro account here, I am not dupe!)

Yeah, I also think that. Just tell the passport department that she needs to apply for new passport. Just don't tell them the child passport that tag along her mom was missing. If not have to make police report for that, need to wait for very long time cuz she will be travelling end of this month

It is not stupid

It is just procedure that must be followed.

Must bring old passport to renew!
