For the first look, you might think this game is a copycat to warcraft, the truth is Blizzard was inspired by Warhammer in its character art. Now Warhammer is going to be a Mmorpg game in year 2007, i think you should like it if you play Wow.

Here is the trailer:

Warcraft is more streamline for the general (dumbdowned for the mass) while Warhammer (and Dungeons & Dragons) are more niche.

This game was suppose to be release years back but it got dropped. Thankfully, now it's back and with a totally new graphics engine, making it look a bit like WoW than it's previous design which was more darker and grittier.

It's one game I'm looking forward to. Imagine, how high your level is can be seen from your appearance. The bigger and meaner you look, the higher level you are.

this game is designed for more pvp in mind, so item or raid type of player my not suit it though.

why so sure? tongue.gif maybe it will, maybe it won't... like axzel posted, this is a niche market game.. man, i've been playing table top n pencil and paper based on WH, WH40k n DnD since i was a kid... it would be great to be able to give this MMO a go...
perpetual pvp world sounds so... *drools* lol...

Yup, who cares if it pawns or doesn't pawn WOW. rolleyes.gif

I'll be glad if WoW stays popular, that way all the l33t kids can stay there laugh.gif
it's a good reason why I enjoyed DDO, because majority of the players are mature gamers. smile.gif

We get WoWtard fanboy infestations everywhere I see, even the stray ones on niche threads biggrin.gif

reminds me too much of WoW-GuildWars debates.. doesn't make much sense when all a WoWtard can say is "WoW pwns!"

:/

Definately giving this game a chance when it releases.. And I bet we have a lot of mature gamers from LYN that will too smile.gif Chaos FTW MWAHAHHAHAHAHA

Copy cat ?? I dont think so, warhammer history is longer than warcraft. Starcraft character units are all ideas from warhammer 40k. In terms of story line by itself, no doubt warhammer universe (yes, in warhammer, orks become bigger and greener when you killed more and become more cunning and more tough) beat warcraft universe soundly but whether it will overtake WoW it will come back to the gameplay itself.

I'm trying to be not offensive and subtle here,
but I think you have your gaming history a little mixed up.
Warhammer comes from pen and paper origin.. do you even know what that is?

If anything, the entire Warcraft universe can be safely said to borrow from the Warhammer universe. Orcs/Orks, High Elf/Dark Elf etc. I may be exaggerating. To more knowledgable gaming lore veterans out there, please do correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks & Cheers

I cant wait to be some BIG GREEN FUGLY ORK!!
What's pissing me off is that we gotta wait... I mean, this game was known for so many years (yes, of course they redid the gameplay and graphics, etc) but still... we gotta wait till year end.

WAR Online is Pay 2 Play correct? If yes, how much for the subscription?

Warhammer and Warhammer 40000 ROCKS!! I prefer the latter though.

yes, Pay to Play.
How much? I'd say the standard fees apply which should be about USD15 a month, cheaper if you subscribe longer I guess...

Kinda pricy though. Well things has to come with a price, which is up to you to decide whether you're willing to pay for it or not... sigh....
Still I like the videoes about the promotion and the makings of WAR Online smile.gif

There's news about the making of Warhammer 40000 MMO game some time ago, no news since then. Can't wait for it. Hehe..
