I'm using a Aztech 600EW wireless g router+adsl modem coupled with an artnet wireless usb adapter. Both devices has got their respective drivers installed. The wireless LED on the 600EW is on but my wireless adapter can't connect to it. I've input the wireless SSID of the 600EW but still can't connect to it. It says no wireless network is in range or available. Even if i pair both of it side by side also it won't work. Anyone can help me out here ?

Tried that. Even tried reinstalling the drivers and resetting the wireless router. Still same problem.

Works via LAN/Ethernet ?
Try that and see. Try to disable WPA/WEP and all other stuff. Just let it be 'plain'....Try to use netstumbler to detect. Try to change your channel number If else fails , flash your 600EW with a new frimware |

for the wifi adapter:
go to my computer, the device manager, then find your artnet wireless under NEtwork Adapters. Then in the properties for artnet, look for at the pull down boxes for something like Adhoc, Infrastructure. Make sure you choose infrastructure. Then use your artnet wifi and also 600ew config utilities to choose a same Channel Number. ON the 600ew also I think need to setting, to allow display ssid...Something to do wif the visibility of your 600ew ssid. After that, search again. I don't believe that you need to flash the 600ew firmware for this problem. This are my ideas from memory la.. Later i will double check to be more precise. My own setup is a also 600ew plus a dlink wifi adaptor. Signal strength at around 50%.distance 2 rooms apart in your typical malaysian home la. |

You do not mention your wireless adapter model which may point to being 11b or G. which is it?.
It could be a problem your router is defaulted on G and the wireless adapter is 11B. Go check and configure correctly..when done, it must connect. One more, (from experience)..some spyware/virus has ability to render your adapter not to sense the wireless signal. I assume its free of malware. |
