Anyone out there can help me with my all in one router.I can share my internet with my other computer but i can't seem to share files.I've been into my network places and i can see my other computer but i can't seem to access it when i click view workgroup computers.It says I need authorization to access the other pc but i dunno how to authorize it.I'm extremely noob at this stuff.

is the the pc u r trying to access is using windows xp professional?if yes, then it is something to do with the security settings of that pc..

did you use any firewalls? if yes, try to disable it first. then share some files. if you dont share anything, other cannot acces you pc. smile.gif

Are you talking about the window's firewall?I've disabled both of my computer firewall already.Just to make sure,windows firewall issit the right click the LAN i'm connect to and disable the firewall there?If not can someone teach me please.

my advice:
apply same setting and protocols on ur LAN connection properties
install same protocol for Comp. A and Comp. B that u r willing to share network

best bet is to turn-off ur Windows Firewall
if u need personal firewall then install another firewall than Windows Firewall

just enable the file sharing is not enough..u must share something like share drive d or e...

or download a software call file sharing.
i use mine to left other go to my pc to search for the files they want.
