Hi Bluewinds,

I'm running in router mode. I've made the following 3 changes and occasionally can hit > 30kB/s.

1. Advanced > WAN > ADSL Modulation : changed from MMODE to GDMT

2. Advanced > Application > Port Forwarding : Add rule for TCP/UDP port used in BitComet

After setting (2), I can see from BitComet that i have both local/remote peers. But overall WAN connection is unstable, my Miranda (IM client with Yahoo, MSN, ICQ plugin) can suddenly just d/c. After setting (1), system is pretty much stable. I can left my Miranda running for few hours without issue.

Took me some time to compare the modem settings with another friend who uses Aztech 4-port router with Wireless LAN (can't remember model). The major difference is ADSL Modulation.

Good luck!

Thanks and regards,
Lee Haw

p.s. Edited and remove the part to add "IP Filters". It's not needed, Port Forwarding alone is sufficient.

Well, i have the same router with you and the only thing that i have done 2 my router settings is to enable UPNP and adjust my portforward for playing warcraft 3 and downloading torrents.

Here's a screenshot of my settings for my portforward. You may have 2 change the ports for your bitcomet since it most probably wont be the same as mine.

Btw, i'm running on the 512 package and i get an average speed for 40 to 50++ kbs depending on the torrents seeders .

I'm using Aztech 600EW but my ADSL Modulation can only connect using GLITE. I tried using GDMT but the DSL light blinks and then goes off and stays off. I am from Kuching, by the way. Just wondering if different location using different ADSL modulation.

Can someone please enlighten me???
