Hi, all

Does anyone here ever bought anything (toys, model, etc.) and used the normal pos method to deliver it to your home? If so, how do they normally give it to you?

Do the postman just leave it in front of your gate? Or does he actually try to deliver it to someone at home? And if no one is at home, do they just leave it there or take it back to post office?

I am thinking of making my first ever online purchase and I am kinda worried about the delivery method of our local post services.

you can always visit your frequent visited hobby shop and ask them if they can get stock for it, or you can try amazon or ebay.

My problem is I don't know where the hobby shops are in Kedah. I guess I'm likelier to find one in Penang, but I also don't know where they are there.

Amazon won't ship it overseas, but eBay has some likely candidates. I'm still thinking of shopping around to see if I can get it cheaper locally though.

I was wondering how much can we be taxed for buying toys? Cuz I just came back from Singapore and the Johor customs taxed be for buying 2 Marvel Select figures. They said that toys are taxable for 30% of they're value and I ended up paying RM 50 for it

Normally taxes for Toys category was around 15%-15.5% and the value should be over RM500 then only considered taxable. icon_rolleyes.gif

They converted it from SG to MYR the value based on the receipts. It came up to just under RM 200. Should I go back there and complain? They did give me a receipt for the RM 50 I paid.

Anyone has any leads on purchasing wau in PJ/ KL area? (I have been advised to go to Kelantan to search for those artisans but I would like to look for a more an easier alternative)

I tried Central market but the one's I've found are those plasticky ones.

I'm interested in Wau Bulan, Wau Kuching and Wau Merak smile.gif
