Hi all,

I want review for the following memory which I can use for Virtulization in Windows Server Hyper-V

The TR3X6G2000C7GTF is a 6144MByte kit of DDR3 SDRAM DIMMs based upon Corsair’s ultra perfo-rmance
DOMINATOR family of memory which includes Intel’s Extreme Memory Profiles (XMP 1.2). This
enables a robust, profile based high performance DDR3 over-clocking solution for Intel X58 platforms
targeted for enthusiasts, gamers and overclockers who want to extract maximum performance from
their platforms. Built using Corsair’s Dual-path Heat Xchange (DHX) technology coupled with a Corsair
Airflow Fan, this part delivers outstanding performance in the latest generation of X58 DDR3-based
motherboards. This memory has been verified to operate at 2000MHz at low latencies of 7-8-7-20 at
1.65V VDIMM.

Test spec:
Each three module set is tested at 2000MHz
Packaged together immediately following
system test
 Tested together at 2000MHz, Vdimm = 1.65V, at latency settings of 7-8-7-20 on X58-based motherboards.
 SP D programmed at:
XMP 7-8-7-20 values at 2000MHz at 1.65V Vdimm JEDEC standard 9-9-9-24 values at 1333MHz.
Features:
6144 Megabytes of DDR3 memory

Three 2GB modules

100% tested at 2000MHz in X58-based DDR3
Motherboards
Lifetime warranty
DHX technology provides maximum cooling

Review invited about this memory. laugh.gif

Seems like my second pair of crucial had broken down again. First pair was sent back to warranty, received it and months later, seem to have broken down again. Giving me BSOD problem etc. I wonder are they really this bad.

Well, no idea on what the chips are being used but my experience so far with Crucial had been really bad. Gotten the 2 * 1GB Ballistix, sold them and was told that it went kaput after that. Gotten the 2 * 2GB, dead within a few months. RMAed, came back, then died again in a few months. They are just sitting handsomely on my table, thinking whether should i warranty them or not tongue.gif

Hey guys wanna ask...Im planning to get an i7 system...choosing ram is difficult 4 me...im confused whether to get a kingston value ram or OCZ platinum...I understand that the 8-8-8-27(just as an example...dunno if it exists) thing but i still dun understand how much performance difference will there b between 1333 and 1600...thanx man...

Another question...i7 supports triple channel...Is it necessary to fill it with minimum 3 slots or i can use a single ram piece...

I got the Corsair XMS3 1333Mhz.. did not compare it with others...

If price almost the same, go with a more reputable brand....or brand with more shops that carries it

Sometimes it also depend on yr experience with that brand.... mine was either Corsair or Kingston...

Somehow I made my personal decision that Corsair is a much better brand for higher speed memory..

Read user reviews on amazon or some other website..

yeah can, means 3X3Gb = 6Gb dual channel, but then if you are using 32bits O.S , no point cause 32bits only support max 3.25GB Rams, unless u running on 64bits O.S

need help in some troubleshooting.

my friend just got another peice of 2gb kingston 667MHz rams, to pair up with his current 2x1gb corsair value select running on dual channel.

i tried on whichever remaining slots, on one of the slots, the pc will start and hang at the BIOS screen, the other slot, the pc will just start, and no display.

whichever combination with the pair of corsair rams wouldn't work, but it works if i run 1 piece of corsair with the kingston. is this caused by the different brand and chipsets of the rams? how do i solve it?
