Usually no different, mayb the 2gb can help u save up 1 slot compare to ur 1gb X2 but it all depends on ur mobo support it or not.

if ur mobo support only single channel.. then u better get 1 piece 2gb. but usually single or double the 1 piece 2gb is still better

Check ur Mobo chipset via CPU-z then the rest will help on that coz it might due to the limitation of it instead of ur RAM.

beside the 1 mhz difference.. both are the same.. its just within the margin of error.

but standards wise.. the 1067mhz stick should be labelled as 1066mhz ddr3

but even if they both wer to be paired together, the 1067 speed will be lowered to 1066 to match with the 1066 ram.

both of them will work find based on the SPD settings presetted within those DIMM..

the 1mhz difference is nothing.. if you take into variance of the clockgen

Hi,
i'm a total newbie when it comes to ram upgrades.
can't trust myself in upgrading the thing on my own..

i'm currently using 1gb DDR2 SDRAM on my Toshiba satellite laptop..

just wondering, how much would it cost me to upgrade to a 2gb ram?

any chance i should go with the full 4gb capacity my laptop has to offer?

thanks!

3gb of Ram is enough unless you are using 64bit OS.
