Lets assume rm3299 is for the lowest spec, it is still a great bargain.
any idea on the weight of the system? and when will it be in MY so can have a hands-on feel?

Around 2.7kg I think.

If it is true about the price, it will be the most affordable 15.6" light(weight) gaming laptop out there.

Too bad I'm more into gaming ultrabook/lightweight(less than 2kg) laptop now.

I wonder how much I can sell my current Sager 8150-S1. sweat.gif

There's a lot features to lose out if it's RM 3299...

It's either one of these:

32 SSD cache
FHD
GTX660M -> GT650M

I would be very happy to buy if 3299 has FHD and GT650M. Or 1TB 5400Rpm change to 500GB 7200rpm.

Should at least get a GTX660M if your're thinking of gaming FHD on new games. Just my opinion.

gotta agree with you on the gamingbooks / gaming ultrabook. i am willing to settle for 15.6" gaming ultrabooks that has GPU greater or equal to GT640m, and around 2.0kg. i got enough of lugging 2.5kg laptop around. if at 2.7kgs + adapter + mouse, it might total to 3kg. that quite a bit too much more me but GTX660 drool.gif drool.gif

i think the Y580 can serve as quite a good desktop replacement, but if traveling with it... shakehead.gif
i think its quite important to have a small Msata to help with the boot up. it will really safe time.

650m and 660m have not much of a leap in terms of graphics power.

Not so much but quite noticing.
Some games can differ around 20 to 30%.

Well, just my opinion though, since you're buying a laptop with an option to choose a better GPU, might as well go with it.
Unless the price differences is too much.

Again, just my opinion. No right or wrong here. laugh.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

Yup, should be more than enough there.
If you know the differences, and know what you're doing, then by all means a GT650M will serve you well. thumbup.gif

wow, if the price is real and the specs is the same, then it is really a killer deal. hopefully the specs is similar, otherwise get it from singapore for roughly 3700 also can.

That's where the 32GB SSD cache comes into play. With that cache, it probably could increase the I/O.

You should try more intensive game. Diablo 3 isn't that good for benchmarking the GPU temperature. Try BF3 or something.
