ohmy.gif the one his student gave him?

Epiguru:  sweat.gif you sell your gift?
LOL. Yes, I offered to sell my 99% brand new Topre Realforce 87UW 45g. It was the one given to me as a"gift" by one of my students, in return for something special I did for them - you may like to read the PM I sent you on May 2, 2012. That something special cost me more than RM25K in services provided, the fee for which I waived. My student knew that... the rest is a private matter between me and the person. Not everything is what people might assume. So did I pay for the keyboard? My student and I know the answer to that one.

Is the keyboard authentic and 99% brand new? Yes.

Was it paid in full? Yes

Is it offered at a great price? Yes. (dragorc got a fantastic deal)

And as I said to dragorc, I felt like offering a Realforce to someone this month. This is going to be his first mechanical keyboard, so it better be a good one. I can easily pick up another RF, and I'm quite likely to do so. The same student offered to get me a few more RFs... as I said, not everything is what people assume. smile.gif

epiguru state it only 3weeks year old...wow epiguru got student? hes a lecturer?

Less than 3 weeks since I opened the box! smile.gif Total usage less than 10 days. (I have quite a number of other keyboards and I've also been travelling.)

I am a consultant - a special type of "lecturer" with "special" students. I cannot be more specific, but I can tell you that I help my students become very successful in their careers and all of them are invariably grateful for the assistance. Payment is usually in terms of money, but I sometimes accept high-end keyboards. smile.gif

Cyclone got new normal one, but not the 10th anniversary one,
that's what he told me, you can ask him.

I really recommend you to get from Epiguru,
Epiguru have it right now, for Cyclone he need to order from Japan, usually take some time.
the white one are better than then black one for clear view.

@Epiguru, if you really come across another one and thinking of selling it, let me know. thumbup.gif

Both has its strengths, but the normal layout of RF has an easier learning curve than the HHKB tongue.gif.
Heck even my Poker which is 'more standard' than the HHKB, already is giving me quite a learning curve. Need time to get used to the missing Del/Ins cluster and the F row.

LoL, you fell in love in alot of different stuffs in first sight huh?
do some research first man!

You almost got the HHKB from me before knowing the age of items,
You know how old is that Wild Cat?

2KRO? really? like Blackwidow?
*
Wild cat is things from last century, LOL...

But it is open box/NIB + it is BS, the condition probably still good as new. Though cosmetically may have some aging I assumed.

That's easy. An IBM Model M "Mini" 1391472 aka SSK, like mine. smile.gif

An SSK is going to set you back at least RM450 excluding shipping. The one in the picture is in mint condition and expertly bolt-modded (not by me), so it's worth a lot more.
*
Somemore the footprint of Model M SSK is nearly the size of a modern full size board. Budget wise, I rather go get a fullsize model M and saw off the extra numpad part, TROLOL.

i am trying to find myself a reason to get a tkl for mobility, and for the price, i guess only bs and cherry brown can fit, but.. the one guru mentioned, where to get?
low budget option = cherry switch?
*
Even lower budget is those alps from Leopold/Ducky.

Read here http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?27575-D...ds-support-NKRO, almost fall into poison again, but luckily search through for nkro info before placing order. sad.gif my wallet is lucky.
*
Those keyboards(from unicomp) are generally marketed as office keyboard, which 2KRO or normal 125Hz polling rate are more than enough to serve its purpose.

BTW, the wild cat is more to a Model M clone than a board by UNICOMP.

cherry. smile.gif
low budget, fun to type on, last long enough.
example: kbc poker, kbt race, kbt pure (not in MY i think), Filco TKL from Cex, Leopold TKL FC700 (need to wait for news from TS)
*
And not to mention that it is the most "mod"able mech kb out there. In fact most aftermart/replacement/novelty keycaps out there are made for Cherry MX(which also a bad thing as it will suck your pocket dry, LOL).

Kinda out of the blue, I decide to change the keycaps to Orange today.

Attached Image

Attached Image

Attached Image

The Topre switch's Plunger are in Purple color......
wonder how other Topre look like.....icon_question.gif
plunger for my HHKB Pro2 is Black.

with the orange keys on, it doesn't look like a 10th anniversary edition anymore hmm.gif

I m still not very satisfied with the Ctrl and CapsLock key arrangement...

I m quite used to the HHKB layout for the Ctrl key, so I switch the CapsLock to the left bottom corner,
and the Ctrl to the left side of the middle row....
but the key they provided is not a CapsLock in Ctrl Size, But just a Ctrl with a LED hole on the key......
and the Ctrl on the lefet side of middle row, that is not a Ctrl in CapsLock size..... but just a CapsLock with no LED hole....
..... What are they thinking. doh.gif
