I'm using the DSL605EW with the 2 antenna.
The latest firmware is fast and quick to boot but cause the modem to hang when bt.
Flash back the previous version of v120.106m.1-021. More stable.

Have any1 of u encounter the same problem?

dunno why, the lan port on my mobo and the first 2 ethernet ports on my 605ew are no longer working, but my device manager says there is nothing wrong with my lan ports. yet IE says it cannot detect any net connection or network hardware? can help?
605ew: yup i keep mine upright also, cooling is very much that way, seldom hangs compared to when i put it down as pictured.

I have Aztech DSL605ER.

Lately I've been getting a lot of disconnection (DSL blinking randomly maybe to about 3-5 times in an hour).

I though it could be Screamyx, so I tried testing it with another modem from Telekom and somehow connection was stable for 2 straight hours that I tested it (via the ping -t as well as playing online game).

Is it my modem problem? Could the DSL part of the modem become too "sensitive" that it could be the one causing disconnection? Right now I can still use my Aztech but the DSL blinking will surely come in a few minutes if not hours later.

This issue never happens before when I first bought it and it the DSL blinking started 2-3 weeks ago.

hi guys...think my modem just died on me...looking for a replacement now...is the 605E any good? Its the cheapest I can find at 65++...or you can also intro some other brands of modem..

Btw I already have a router, the 605E comes with router too right? Possible to disable it so that it wont have conflict with my existing router?

Sounds like your line is the problem more than the modem. Try checking the modulation, SNR margin and Attenuation in your modem (status ->Modem status in most Aztech modems).

If all fails, try to get a Netgear. Most of them use Broadcom chipsets, which in my experience are a lot more tolerant to noisy lines than D-links/Azteches (the latter 2 generally use TI chipsets)
