2 antenna is a new design for some G and N wifi, for G it's use for like u put the 2 antenna 1 Horizon another vertical, so in the G wifi coverage area u have zero dead spot, for N it's for MIMO, multi in multi out, sorf of full duplex.

i think the 1 antenna is new. i came back from carefour and the salesperson said that the 2 antenna is no more. i guess aztech is cutting cost.

it still doesnt explain the presence of 1 antenna for the G adsl routers. you cant get the 2 antenna anymore so how could that be new?

I just bought the DSL605EW, 1 antenna version for my father in-law. FW: 120.106m.3 build 001. It was printed on the sticker under the device and from the system status.

This wifi adsl router is replacing the old Dilink DSl-300G, and my first impression.., not bad for a cheap wifi ADSL router. I set WPA2 wireless connection for my laptop and my Sony Walkman X1000 smile.gif. Everything, run fine without any problem for the past several hours. smile.gif Not so hot during operation compared to the old adsl modem.

I saw several negative comments, but, we will see what will happens in several monts later.

Thank you.

I am using Aztech DSL605EW firmware 120.106m.1
Bought it on February this year.

Whenever i am on Xunlei BT my web browser wont work, the page takes forever to load. Well maybe it is due to Xunlei taking up every bits of bandwith.

I always cannot access the default router page 192.168.1.1 if my computer is up for some time. After restart the router then only i can access it and change the settings. Kind of annoying especially when u wanna disconnect and reconnect the connection to get a different IP address as you all are aware of how Streamyx sucky line works. It sometimes give me slow IP which are routed to god-knows-where before coming back so i have to reconnect.

Now the latest firmware is DSL605EW Firmware version 120.106m.3-001 available at http://www.aztech.com/Support/drivers.html

I am gonna flash it in a while and see whether it helps my problem or not. May the force be with me.

Sometime the problem is not because of the modem, but because of ISP problems.

If the local websites in malaysia, example www.jaring.my can be access faster, but ohterwise for certain international sites, then it is because bottleneck in ISP's gateway. I am using mtr or WinMTR to check layer 3 (TCPIP link) problems.

If you are using torrents, and you feels slow, then you need to limit/throttle the UPLOAD bandwith to ... let say around 5 or 10 kBytes/s. If not, then, you will feel that your web browsing will be slow.

Also check what other programs that using the network too. For Windows, tcpview is a good one.
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinte...s/bb897437.aspx

For GNU/Linux, netstat and iftop are my favorites.

TQ.
