It seems that the new subforums are not obvious enough. I'm moving about 10-20 threads every day.. and it's getting tiring.

This is a posting guideline. Please follow it to make our (the moderators) lives easier.

1) If you're posting about:
  • just chatting about broadband
  • ranting/raving about your ISP
  • reporting outages in your area
  • recommending websites/software/services for broadband use
  • networking device discussion
  • modem/router recommendation
  • file sharing websites issues
post in Broadband User2User.

2) If you're posting about:
  • broadband availability
  • ISP billing enquiries
  • termination enquiries
  • administrative matters
  • first-time setup of broadband connection
post in Getting Broadband.

3) If you're posting about:
  • Internet connection problems
  • Internet connection slowdowns (no rants though)
  • modem problems
  • modem configuration
  • home network problems
post in Networking Tech Support, and include full details of your configuration and problem description.

5) If it is not related to any of the above, that's great! Post it in the Networks & Broadband forum. Save us from guessing, and save yourself time by attaching sufficient information. If you're asking for system design or analyis assistance, keep in mind the systems development lifecycle - we cannot help you with the later stages without knowing the earlier ones.

6) Any topics not in the appropriate section will be reviewed, moved, and WARNING might be given to those who created the thread in wrong section and replying to a thread in wrong section.
