Same as mine, streamyx connection are shared among 4 housemates. Connection still bad though I blocked all the P2P ports through the routers. The drastic action taken is I totally block them through MAC address in the router at the specific hour. This is the last resort.

for windows xp

Connection Status > Support > Details > Physical Address

or from command prompt type "ipconfig /all"

the physical address is the mac address

Currently I'm using DSL-500T and planning of getting DI-604 to share the Streamyx with other 2 pc.

My question is, can I cap the speed for the other 2 pc without effecting my pc?

hi guys,

has anyone tried onspeed? i'm sharing connection with my brother too at home, he on pc, & me on laptop, & he's always complaining abt slow internet connection. We have now got a software called ONSPEED. it's an internet accelerator, speeds up loading of web pages & download of big documents too. we r now both happier surfers biggrin.gif

Regarding DD-WRT you guys mentioned about, anyone tried it on DLink DSL504T router modem? I did not see any name of DLink in the compatible hardware list.

Btw, anyone have any success story to share pertaining to bandwidth control on DLink DSL504T router modem?

J

It will improve the traffic but your maximum download speed will not be reached as QoS reserves a certain amount of bandwidth depending on how you set it.
