TM no longer cap solely based on ADSL line rate.
Most users will show 1024 to 2048kbps downstream line rate but the actual speed will depend on the packages paid for.
as for your disconnection problem, its due to the low SNR Margin on your downstream link.

a single digit SNR is NEVER good. SNR about 20db or above should be very stable. Between 10-19 is just marginal with the tendency to drop on high usage scenarios or where error rates will be high resulting in lower effective throughput.

I didn't know whether the cap is already stop by October 08 or before, but before I applying for 1 mbps package (before 512 kbps) , they give me 1024/512 on ADSL, but using speed tester, the maximum only can reach 512 max.

gather all screamyx users in your residential area and complain together. request them to set up a DSLAM near your house. it will be a tough task though.good luck! smile.gif

i had meet SNR downstream low prob as well...

normally i get 12db for snr downstream n will drop til -2db den i get dc...

las week tm tech had come to chk, n i show them abt my snr downstream margin...but they seem like knw nth abt snr function n cant gv me an answer of it...

in the end, the tech told me coz my house is near to dslam, so shd not get too high snr margin...so 12db is good ady.

any idea i can still complain on it?

That statement will be the hard part .. until now, even after a 3-4 complaint, no one will check the cable outside, all works done in the exchange, either downgrade or reduce the speed .. very easy ..
