cos its all depend on ur original engine capacity which mean all counted from 1.3

1.3 > 1.8 = 38%
1.3 > 1.6 = 23%

btw max u can go is 1.6 turbo.

p/s: limit for cc upgrade is either 25% or 30% cant very confirm on this part.

i was thinking about that too but its is old? didnt know what did the previous owner did also. any choice? beside the gti g100 turbo?

for under 25% cc upgrade, your application is considered Kategori 2. Need time for approval (2-4weeks)
For SAME engine model/cc i 'think' can approved immediately after background check of your car. Kat. 1.

for above 25% cc upgrade is Kategori 3. Need to wait even longer than Kat 2.
My friend waited a few months for upgrade from 1.3 -> 1.8 Turbo.

update: yesterday I went to PutraJaya to do the endorsement thingy...
now waiting for a 'Pass' hope it turns out alright if not my car kantoi liao.

Ok guys finally my engine change has been approved and noted by JPJ.
The procedure and hassle is one of the most incredible I've ever come across even from the Government.

If you guys need some detailed info pls PM or wait for my complete n00b guide to legal engine change.

i wonder whether we need to report to JPJ or insurance company if we just install a bolt-on turbocharger without modifying the displace ment of the car??? because i'm going to get a L8 engine(656cc) + IHI turbo + custom headers and exhaust system + Piggybag ECU on my kancil...

as mention above, same cc change is immiediate...but do i need to go through the long procedures endorsing my car??

cos my friend driving waja...he change the engine to merch's engine...
but he didn't go through jpj...according to him,jpj will not catch,if kena tangkap just give "kopi" money... is it true?

A mitsu engine (compatible one) like 4g63, 4Gxx can usually fit into an iswara. As long as you don't exceed the 25% CC upgrade it should be routine. It is not expensive (cost me RM200 total).

my sis juz got a letter from jpj with the title:
"Notis Tunjuk Sebab Di Bawah ... "

she got 16 demerit points, 8 x 2 from 2 accidents.. and they require her to write letter to jpj state why happens, else they gonna "gantung" her license.. the weird thing is tat she hav to write in b4 6 may 2006.. and she juz receive the letter today..

so wat to do now? if write in, wat reason to giv? or juz wait her license to get 'gantung'..?
