Removing molex is the easiest way rather than solder out all the wires fom PSU.

get the molex remover..... bout 15 ringit from vantex together with some molex.

atleast you get a long term use molex remover

Do you know about those pipes? The pipes for your tap, shower, the "paip air" pipes? PVC ones, grey colour?

Sleeving kits, can expand as you already know (I hope).

So put the PVC pipe on the molex connector, and slide the sleeving kit inside.

Then remove the pipe and you're done.

its quite hard actually , without the molex connector and be carefull when puttung back the molex, like me accidentally swithed the 12v with 5v one and there goes my combo drive , thank god not my hdd ... btw use thoose molex removal kit , its not expensive , but thr 24pin molex remover is ery expensive ... try to ask someone here and borrow it from them

But dis applies to big diameter sleeve only ma'. The small one (which fits the wires snuggly) couldnt expand so much. wink.gif

so final answer....no u cant sleeve the psu wires without taking out the molex... no matter what u HAVE to take it out. unless of course ur using big a$$ sleeves.

Actually, you CAN sleeve your PSU without removing your Molex connectors. Use spiral-wraps biggrin.gif They don't look too bad if you ask me smile.gif
Or you can use any form of firm tape, something that doesn't loose it's shape after application biggrin.gif

Good results take some effort. If you are going through the trouble to buy sleeves, remove your PSU from your rig in order to improve the aesthetics of your rig..... Why in the world are you reluctant to do something as simple as remove a molex plug?

There are far more challenging things to do. Try removing PCIe connectors for example. For the gold, go for removing the connectors on the main ATX power plug...

Obviously you've got to know what you're doing. As one of the posters above has demonstrated, you can fry hardware by mixing up the polarity of the wires. With a little bit of common sense however, it is a simple thing to get right. That much said, even the smartest people do dumbass things... double checking your wires prior to firing up the PSU is essential...

UglyVamp has put up a sleeving guide. I suggest you read it.

is more like plastic wrapping...hehe

If using those spiral wraps of course no need to remove any connectors also. But doesnt like as nice~ compared to the sleeve.

sohaix : If using the smallest size, which is fits snugglier. The expanded size still not enuff for the molex connector to be slided through.

And yups, warranty doesnt void for just replacing the molex. As long u dont open the PSU. wink.gif
