I need to ask something.. When u take off the connector, and when after we sleeve we need to put back the connector, how we know which colour first? Or which colour also the same? I mean the wire cable that have black and red and yellow and green.. Izit it can put as we like?

I think uglyvamp clearly answered that question already.

The molex removal tool is only included in the Vantec Molex Set, and not the Sleeving Kit. smile.gif

A Psu Guide By me.How To Test Your PSU
Well maybe you could start using it as a 'test' PSU. To test your fans, cold cathodes or other modding stuff whenever you want, without having to boot up your PC. Now you might be thinking that this wouldn't be a problem, just plug in the power cable of the PSU and start the air/light show.. right?

Now first start searching for an ATX Power Supply Unit.
This is the motherboard connector 20 pin
user posted image

2nd we need a paper clip or wire. Please make sure your PSU isn't plugged in while doing this mod! You might get a shock!

Overall this is a very easy mod, just search for the connector with the green wire and insert an end from the paperclip. Then pick out one of the connectors with a black (ground) wire and insert the other end of the paperclip.

After this cover the psu connector 20 pin with some tape, just to be safe in case anyone or anything touches it..

Now plug in the power cable of your PSU.. and start running!

This might help for after sleeving the20pin to test

note that you can't use the 'shorting' technique to test whether the PSU is working or not... albeit the fan will still run when you short it...

The reason is, that there is no 'load' to the system, thus even the PSU fan is running, there still chances for it not to work...

Anyway, if you want to test some fan, led etc.. the shorting technique is the best since it does not need you to connect to mobo first...

I always take a close up pics of the 20/24pin ATX before removing all the cables. When putting back, i just refer to the picture again.

Just in any special case, the PSU manufacturer don't use the correct color wires smile.gif

why dont u try doing THIS instead?

u could replace the pins with staples and use a flathead jewelers scredriver to push the pin out.

Are there any sleeving kits or methods to allow sleeving without taking off the molex things?
