QUOTE(MusashiX @ Jun 12 2009, 11:43 PM)
dude thats cruzer enterprise, not cruzer titanium or cruzer titanium plus. Titanium is slower than Contour... but like i said, im quite happy with my Titanium read/write speed as compared to normal sandisk cruzer. smart slide-out usb made of metal & doesnt look too shabby either. Some flash drive look so bling bling that you will be embarrassed to be seen with it. Not sandisk cruzer tho.

Titanium is almost bomb proof but its not. However, im looking for another alternative flash drive, talented but tiny drive as back-up, hence had my eyes on atom. Too bad they didnt have 16Gb.

BTW, i'd like to add, relatively speaking, Corsair Voyager is quite fast & very durable but the rubbery & fat encasement attracts dusts & render adjacent usb port useless, due to its sheer dimension.

Good luck hunting to all of yous.

yup, titanium is slower than contour, but imation atom still way slower than titanium. laugh.gif

I have soft spot for cute and shiny stuff, hence finally bought myself imation atom 8G. So small, so cute, soo neat, sooo shiny and so light it would be blown away by your weakest of sneeze hehe.

It sits perfectly with my 8.9" netbook as compared to Cruzer protruding like a flap.

Anyway, speedwise, i have compared with Sandisk Titanium copying 699Mb of data and heres the outcome :

Titanium : 50s
Atom : 80s.

Not lab tested but recorded twice in a not-so-controlled environment. Both were formatted with FAT32.

Atom runs quite hot when used, dissipating heat via its chrome metal surface, prolly due to smaller total surface area than Titanium which is 90% metallic and more than thrice the size of Atom and a hell lot heavier.

I got Atom for Rm70 8Gb compared to Titanium @ Rm90 8Gb. Atom came with a tiny lanyard you could use to secure it to your key chain?

It used to be the fastest, but the RMA rate was also one of the highest. That's why Corsair discontinued the earlier versions (2GB, 4GB).

Would that explain why the prices have dropped?
