In May 2011, i have finally decided on an ICE setup for my car. I took a visit to EA Autoworks and told Howie to begin the setup.

My car in EA Autoworks, ready for ICE installation : )
First thing we did was to inspect the previous installation of my old ICE. I was right, my 4 channel amp really died off. It was in safe mode due to my 3 hours usage (3 hours and it fried? No doubt cap ayam brand...) EA Autoworks staff took a while to remove all the messy wires and stuff from my car. Then Howie uninstalled my tweeter and to our surprise....

WTF CAP LEMBU!!!! (*Whole EA team burst out laughing
)
My choice of ICE setup is SQ balance. I decided to go 2 way in stead of 3 because.. tarak cukup budget and my songs are too dynamic. Since my ride is a Mitsubishi Triton 4WD truck, the challenge was the limited boot space for my sub. My objective was to achieve an ICE setup that i was able to say "Okay, this is good". The choice of the songs that i would like to target are:
1. Gentle therapeuthic vocal - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8r4jIyFnc-4
2. Fast tempo songs - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ueiOqaSvHp0
3. Trance - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h4IZZ8pz0dI...player_embedded
Thats quite a long hurdle for Howie to overcome

My ICE journey ended on a saturday night. The result of my ICE is....
SHEER DRIVING PLEASURE : )
Its like having a sexy german chick called Miss Maestro sitting on your lap singing and American Miss Realm giving you bass massage on the back. Hehe...
Overall, I was very pleased with my ICE installation in EA Autoworks. Being a newbie in ICE i have lots of question and Howie was pretty patient in explaining to me. As i told him, i am not able to determine the sound quality of a brand and product from just a product specification and brand name. During the whole meet up process i threw to him lots of cause&effect questions, technical, mind twisting questions and he tried his best to explain in a manner that i was able to understand. But i was able to continue to my setup due the level of confidence and detailing that Howie was able to provide. I still remember when we completed my ICE setup, i told Howie..
Me: Hmm, this is good. I like this.
Howie: That's because where you are standing.
Me: What? I am standing at the right door panel. The sounds quality/time alignment is better here?
Howie: No. You are standing in EA Autoworks.
Me: AH AHHAHAHHAHAHA.
Special thanks to Howie Choo and the fellow ICE kaki here whom share the same passion and enthusiams by sharing your experience with me. Thank you very much!
