I don't think you really need to go until 4 subwoofers. Just get one 15" subwoofer powered with at least 800w RMS and one pair of component speakers (power by at least 2x400W RMS) for the front. As for the rear, just leave the OEM speakers to be powered by the HU (for the surround sound). Make sure get good quality amplifiers (power is most important here). By the way, don't forget to get a set of comp. speakers with very good mid bass and able to stand the power as you need them to complement your SW.

The 4 speaker that I mentioned just 6.5' component speaker without any sub install laugh.gif
I read your post about the Agako amp, giving good complement to this amp biggrin.gif
really feel to have a bite on it biggrin.gif
but this brand not familiar here, and also not much info available in the web.

As for your preferred set up ala clubbing style, you may want to try Agako Extreme series. They give you the best power per RM you pay although not clean. Go to your favourite accessories shop to try them out. All seasoned ICErs know that Agako is synonymous with SPL. Lightning Audio and Rockford Fosgate are popular too if u have a more generous budget.

Greetings all.

I'm planning to get my car's speakers changed to a component set while retaining the stock Clarion HU. My budget is RM800 max. Currently looking at :

- Infinity Reference series
- German Maestro "A"-series
- Dominations (not sure which, but the one around RM700-800 gua)
- Boston Acoustics (not sure which series/model too)

Of all above mentioned, which is most recommended?

All feedback and suggestions/recommendations are generously welcomed. tongue.gif

Thank you guys!

Regards,

Is that the best amongst the list? smile.gif I have not personally heard them yet so I can't be a judge of anything. tongue.gif

Well I want to, but my current budget is only RM800. So I guess I shall go for a decent set of components first. biggrin.gif

Thank you for your reply tho! cheers.gif

edit : Oh and, what's the main difference between the S60 and SX60? blink.gif

The main difference is the model number...the "X".... tongue.gif

No la, SX sound different. A bit clearer and higher pitch...can be said as clarity also.

Anyway, go audit one before you want to buy. smile.gif

What do you mean by superior? In terms of technical specs?

Audit is go listen to it, then choose which set you like the most...

Sometimes ppl can say earth and sky, but if you don't like it... it won't worth a single penny.

Superior in terms of sound quality. laugh.gif

Yeah, should be going to view and listen to these few sets soon.

Oh and I got the model for the Infinity Reference series components. They're the 6030CS. Any good? Or is the SX60 still better? unsure.gif

Thank you! cheers.gif

just realised ive been quoting wrong price for SX60, confused with the other cheaper set which is SXI606.... so here is the latest:

Boston Accoustics SX60 6.5inch Component Set NEW RM700 (limited time)
Boston Accoustics S60 6.5inch Component Set NEW RM650
Boston Accoustics SXi606 6.5inch Component Set NEW RM500

ps - limited time offer for SX60 RM700, later go back to RM750
