These are the things done at KF audio today

1 pair Sansui 5m RCA
1 pair Audison 5m RCA
Stinger 4AWG power cable
Wafer fuse block
Speaker Cable 28 ft
Boston GT 42 4 channel amplifier
Boston 12 inch G2 subwoofer
Amp mounting board with carpet.
Subwoofer enclosure.
Installation, Scope checking, sound tuning FOC 3 months.
Everything RM3500

So far the workmanship is superb i would say. Now letting it run in first, and Mr siemen ask me to see him next week again.

Hi. Im total newb and would like a recommendation for a HU. The brand I'm looking now is alpine coz fren of mine prefers that. My budget would be around rm1200. The car is an accord 2000. Not sure about the brand for my amp and subwoofer(configured by someone else). prefers SQ. Which one is better :Alpine IDA X3xx series and CDA 10x series? thanks

he's using passives. i think the problem lies in the s60. entry lvl and light midbass. if u get something like focal k2p, then midbass will be there. u soundproofed ur doors?

if not complicated then probably people wont charge a premium to do them...

but good news is once you tried, along the way you will get better then eventually you could charge people for tuning their cars...

anyway... good luck on the midbass...

cheers..

Just went to have a listen at the SX60.. I didn't really like it. The SL60 is far better but at a RM300 premium.

Any shops in PJ that are recommended to have a look at? smile.gif

Thank you.

Whoops, my bad. I forgot to mention the shops I've been to. laugh.gif

Elegance Audio - Kelana Jaya - German Maestro "A"-Series
KK Lau - Kelana Jaya - Infinity Reference 6030CS
KF Audio - Aman Suria - Boston Acoustics S60/SX60/SL60
Quest Audio - Subang SS15 - Dominations Dlite

So far I've only heard both the Boston Acoustics and Dominations, and I must say, the Dominations impressed me. Elegance Audio is in the process of installing a demo unit of the German Maestro so I'll most likely have a listen to it tomorrow. KK Lau wouldn't set up a demo of the Infinity for me so I think I have to look somewhere else for Infinity's.

Any more shops to recommend? I want to make sure I make the right decision. laugh.gif

Yeah I guess so..

Besides these five brands - Focal, Dominations, Infinity, German Maestro and Boston Acoustics, there's no other sub-RM800 component speakers worth mentioning huh? laugh.gif
