I would want to share with you guys regarding KW Suspensions.

I emailed the real KW company which is KW automotive GmbH, a company from Germany infamous for their car suspension and handling products.

However, there has been a local company who seemed to be using the original KW name for its products, and they widely advertise their brand locally (you can find a lot in local car magazine). This email clarified a few things that I could sum up:
- KW does not have an authorized dealer in Malaysia. The nearest authorized dealer or distributor is in Singapore
- Genuine KW coilovers can be identified in yellow-purple colour, not red like the one sold by MaxAudio, or any other local accessories shop who claimed their KW is 'German technology'.
- The website www.kw.com.my or its company Kim Wah Unique Trading Sdn. Bhd is no way associated with the real KW Suspensions. KW confirmed that the products distributed by Kim Wah Unique Trading Sdn. Bhd. are copycats and there is no guarantee that it will perform like the original KW suspensions. Reliability is definitely compromised.
- Anything that is not listed under the official KW Suspensions website (www.kw-suspensions.eu) is not authentic.
- The website www.kw.com.my is selling/marketing copycats. The ones distributed by MaxAudio are also copycats. They are definitely not KW Germany as claimed by their advertisements.

www.kw.com.my <--- copycat (just like the Brothers' "Mugen High Power" brand)
www.kw-suspensions.eu <--- original

KW brand is really well known in the Europe (something like our Titan). Probably less known to us because we are more exposed to Japanese stuffs like Tein, Tanabe, HKS, etc. KW in the EU is more like JIC, Cusco, those kind. However the one sold in Malaysia isn't worth bearing the name.

Don't risk your life by buying false advertised product shakehead.gif doh.gif

Please spread the words.

In anycase if you guys want to read the reply email from KW representative, PM me your emails so I could forward it.

they do not exactly imitate the original product, but they are using the brand name and slap the logo on their product (which origin is unknown). in this case it's more about branding imitation.

GAB is a similar case I think, however the GAB Japan is no more (closed down or something). Not sure if GAB Suspensions Malaysia actually bought over the company's tech or not. One thing I've heard is that GAB Malaysia is somewhat a mix of KYB and Eibach/Bilstein.

But in the case of KW, it's a poor con job. LOL.

WOW. lots of imitation products nowadays- Like rubber, silicon hoses etc.

I wonder if the company wants to take action against the Malaysian co?

Damn! That explain it.

I always wondered about their red coloured products as I thought they're some sort of different product line. But I couldn't find it in HQ webpage.

Thanks for the heads up!

Real KW Suspensions distributor is Autovox (Singapore).

By the way, it's confirmed that GAB Suspensions (Malaysia) products are totally legit.
