God I hate grind music. One album 20 tracks of 1-2 minute songs. Every song sounding the same and dunno what the heck the vocalist is grunting. I don't know how you differentiate different grind bands either. Play me a song each from 5 different bands and it'll all sound the same to me. My opinion. = )

New In Flames and Soilwork is lousy. Stabbing The Drama is a horrible album. Very commercial la.

Didn't like Lamb Of God's As The Palaces Burn. I thought the production made it very unlistenable. The drums sounded like hitting paper cups and the guitars were washed out. I loved Ashes of The Wake though. I heard that LoG re-released their old album. too bad can't get over here.

Fear Factory - I wouldn't recommend Obsolete and Digimortal. Go listen to Soul of A New Machine and my all time favorite, Demanufacture. Their latest, Archetype is quite good too.

Burzum - Don't like. One man in a band working from prison...Bleh...

And yes, I agree that Slayer is the No. 1 trash band of all time. Beats Metallica anytime.

I'm into Quo Vadis and Sentenced lately, go check them out. = )

Burzum's a racist dog. He's Hitler of the metal scene, influental but severely twisted mentally.

I love Slayer and my Slayer t-shirt too. smile.gif

I dig grind. Not all of it but primarily Napalm Death and Terrorizer.

And good to see this thread revitalized. smile.gif

the full rifle thing goes like this...

"this is my rifle
there are many like it but this one is mine
my rifle is my best friend
it is my life
i will master it as i will master my life
without me my rifle is useless
without my rifle i am useless"

Maybe we should post list of albums/bands to avoid
here is my list
1) dimmu borgir - spritual black dimensions
2) borkanagar-all albums- just plain terrible.

Hey...when is anyone gonna recommend me a good industrial band to listen to other than godflesh?

back in 1992, i listened to unleashed (where no life dwells) and sodom (agent orange)...man, that was the first time i know what kind of music suit my ears...but as time goes by i moved to something more melodic...iron maiden, helloween, sepultura (bought all album), COB (love all their song), COF, dimmu borgir, katatonia, therion, suffocation...never really liked grind tho...i wonder why scandinavian make the best metal bands...

I like Borknagar alot.

Do yourself a favor and avoid Darkthrone. Indeed they have left their mark on black metal but yeah. Their primitive sound and horrible production is rubbish to my ears.

Listen to Ministry if you want good industrial metal.

my advice to u is to listen to those songs one at a time like what i did to sex pistol's kiss this. i thought it was a total waste of my money but after listening to the songs one by one, i'm hooked.

darkthrone, i just love their classic n dirty sounds.. hey, its their trademark
borknagar, their the olden domain album is the best

my worst album goes to
COF > damnation n the day, Nymphetamine (they going to be a pop rock soon)
Dimmu > Death Cult armageddon (same as COF)
Marduk > panzer division (every song sounded the same)
Darkthrone > transilvinian hunger (the worst live album ever..)

Hahaha...my nocturnus The Key cassete bought in 1992 still with me. Great album.
But im to Averse Sefira and Amon Amarth with low bass and high treble setting.

Again..recommending Trivium for light & easy metal listening.
