for black metal, you've already listed the 2 bands i listen to, CoF and Dimmu Borgir. you might wanna source out for old Malaysian black metal bands... trust me, they're quite good. Aradia, early As-Sahar, Langsuyr, Vociferation Eternity.

industrial... well, i don't listen much. can Samael be considered industrial or pure death?

death/thrash/grindcore -
napalm death, morbid angel, carcass, cannibal corpse, Nile (excellent fockin heavy egyptian metal), the mighty local Sil-Khannaz

most of what i listen to are from old bands. i've stopped searching for new music for several years... kinda took a step backward biggrin.gif

for Industrial i woud recommend :
Rammstein - Sehsnsuct & Mutter album
Pain (Swedish band fronted by the vocalist from Hypocrisy)-Dancing with the Dead & Nothing Remains the same album
Fear Factory - Obsolete & Digimortal

Other metal bands i wud recommend :
In Flames (Jester Race-melodic death metal),other albums r good too
Killswitch Engage (Alive or Just Breathing)
Soil - Scars (awesome metal album, chugging riffs)
Soilwork - Stabbing The Drama & (Natural Born Chaos produced by Devin Townsend)
Paradise Lost (early albums were doom metal while recent ones were kinda commercial gothic metal)
God Forbid - dun remember the album title biggrin.gif
Shadows Fall (Art of Balance & war Within)
Lamb Of God - As The Palaces burn (produced by Devin Townsend!)

Early In Flames is cool as hell! Imagine Iron Maiden's melodic structure combined with Sepultura's aggressiveness. but i didn't like their newer albums (Reroute to Remain, Soundtrack...) because they don't play melodic metal anymore. no more 3 part harmonic guitars sad.gif

I loved Paradise Lost's 1st album, 'Gothic'. slow, but very melodic!

Lamb Of God! Awesome band blew me up wif "As The Palaces Burn " album! Before that, they was called as Burn The Priest. Damn awesome oso! Recommended... thumbup.gif

Try Chimaira. Metalcore band. None of their albums dissapointed me!

Killswitch Engage oso appears as a band that never let their fans down!

Bleed The Sky. New band. Cant get full album yet. Damn impressive work. Worth a try. Metalcore la. I dunno hw to differentiate between melodic death metal n metalcore. Anyway genre sux! tongue.gif

Underoath - Their new album don count in la coz their played emo. Their 1st two album were played something heavy n dark la. Like death metal.....

Till the next time.... smile.gif

The collection will not be complete without some SLAYER albums... especially "Slayer - Decade Of Aggression". SUPERB DOUBLE-CD LIVE ALBUM!!!

P/S: I'm still looking for the limited-edition of the album. With 2 bonus tracks Skeletons Of Society and At Dawn They Sleep...
