If this is from the DIR-615's SPI firewall log it's likely just a false positive. Happens when you P2P via Bittorrent, etc.

Riz, will my BT performance we degraded? Even though i don't think so because for certain bt file, i can still achieve full speed

*OOT... I just deleted a 8gb 1080p with Shift+Del!!!! I haven't watch it yet!!!! And now redownloading but the seed is not as fast as two days back(600kB/s vs 30~100kB/s inconsistent)!!!!!! Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh*

Just wanted to let everyone know that if your UniFi breaks, you can expect to be without Internet, Telephone & TV for quite a while.
Mine failed on 1st March. Today, 4th March they finally gave me an appointment date for rectification - 16th March!

Absolutely incredible that a company that is making 1.2billion in profit cannot provide customer service - or maybe that is why they made so much? Sign up suckers like me & then don't bother to fix the system and don't allow me to cancel my 2 year contract?

For the 1st 2 days I had no DSL light. Now I notice I do have a DSL light so maybe they did some work on their side & fixed part of it and maybe now the only problem is my side.....? I am trying to fault-find myself. I am in a condo so connection from basement is by phone lines. I have a Huawei HG655a with DSL light on and Internet light blinking every so often, presumably when the D-Link DIR-615 tries to connect to Internet.

I tried removing the D-Link and have connected my PC into the HG665a and logged in with Admin/Admin. Network status is that ptm1.400 is always 'Connecting' and ptm1.600 and ptm1.500 are both 'Connected' though Online Duration is 0 and - respectively.
The xDSL info is as per the attachment.
[attachmentid=2074383]
Any experts on this HG655a that can tell me if it is dead and can tell me if I can buy my own tonight or tomorrow? Or an equivalent? I don't necessarily need phone & tv for the time being but cannot survive without Internet (typing this on my Celcom connection at the moment!)

I don't actually know how to solve but i faced this problem before. The technician came and just plug the lan cable connecting to router from port 4 to port 1 i think... You may try with each of the port on that BTU. The problem just solved like that... Even though sounds a bit shitty but it works... I also face before... Voip up dsl up, internet blinks sometime, modem there internet orange colour. then that technician came and just changed the port...

Don't forget to insist on a rebate!
When my IPTV was giving problems I got a healthy RM149 rebate for my VIP20 package. brows.gif
I complained like hell though, even wrote to the 'Im-afraid-of-TM' MCMC.

I maxed out my connection torrenting. Note : I did this just to test the connection so people out there get the idea, the difference between fiber optic connection (UniFi) and Streamyx. Please refer to attachment.

Also, the IPTV has got only 1 HD channel (LUXE) and I correct on this or I overlooked something on my IPTV ?

I upgraded to unify VIP5 earlier this week. I already bitterly regret doing so. The only things that are fast are the unify speedometer, speedtest.net and downloads from Tawain. At least with Streamyx my kids could access Facebook.

Attached is my latest speed test from testmy.net - 3kB/s, same with other speedtests from UK. Can't wait to see what the speed is like once capping starts.

U trying to say u cant load facebook after using UniFi ? Something must be really wrong if u cant. For me facebook loads in a blink of eye. Its way way faster compared to when I was on streamyx.

I don't think you can choose which server to test to on Unifi Speedometer?

Speeds are extremely poor right now (was OK a few hours ago). Many sites including FB needs to refresh a few times before will load properly. The cap is a good idea to have when some people here insists that it's their right to download 1TB/month on their 5Mbps connections. It just needs to be much much higher than their current quota limits, somewhere along the lines of 2-3x would be fair enough.

You are aware speeds will probably be better once the cap starts, right?

There is a new "hidden" channel on the IPTV. Channel 164 Fox Crime HD. Its not bad at all.

I kind of think this is a something TM should improvise. When I select channel 100 I get a preview of all the channels in a mosaic. The issue is alot of channel are in black mosaic and says unavailable, actually its paid channel.

Why not just show at least some picture there or channel name and label it "Premium" or something.

Quite confusing sometimes. Example : Channel 164 Fox Crime HD, I dont know if its a paid channel or its just a trial for now as its not showing up in the mosaic. Its showing there unavailable, but when I key in 164 using remote it takes me to the channel with no any notice saying its just "preview" like how the other Premium channel shows.

This is something for TM to improvise.

I wasn't aware I was basing my comments on how slow things were when the cap was imposed on Streamyx.

Anyway my latest speedtest shows the speed has nearly doubled to 46 Kbps (6 kB/s) , so much for their "High speed Broadband" advertising, not even dial-up speed.

In general my download speeds from UK/US rarely exceed 30 kB/s and local speeds fluctuate wildly. I still need to use a VPN just to watch a live 240 Kbps video stream otherwise I encounter constant re-buffering.

I should have just stuck with Streamyx 1MB and VPN to watch live streams.
