We went to Gleneagles for the class. My friend went to Sunway hospital.

Both are quite good. Not sure about others. You can try call the hospital up to ask for the class schedule. Usually they will split it into few weeks.

Best is check the hospital that you intend to deliver your baby. Most hospital should have it...

PS: Frankly, Ante Natal class can be skipped, cause you can find those info on the net or talking to family members/friends who have experience already. But, since it is your first time... just go and listen... not expensive and won't take up much of your time smile.gif

I remember they teach my wife the breathing technique.. but when delivery time... semua forgot... hahaha...

Ante natal class is very useful for fathers, since the moms tend to ask around for advices etc but the dads... not so much wink.gif

We went to the one in Pantai Indah like moorish. Free summore with lunch provided. Good speakers, but when I was there, it was heavily sponsored by Wyeth & Stemlife (free mah) so you'll be bringing back a lot of brochures.

Prince Court got Parent Craft classes, but need to pay RM200 - got stuff from J&J.

We went to the one in SDMC and found that it is very informative. Price at RM310 and was conducted by third-party, the course was helpful for us when we were expecting our first child. My colleague who recommended us is going back for a refresher course during her second pregnancy. smile.gif

We are attending the Sunway hospital classes - RM300.

It's good to attend.. to learn about the hospitals procedures and stuff, when the wife is in labor..

they also teach exercises for delivery preparations.. last week we had a dietitian teaching us what, and how much, to eat while pregnant..

a friend is attending at SJMC as well.. =)

Hi, I'm 35 weeks pregnant, and just completed my antenatal class last month in Gleneagles Ampang. It cost RM180 for 3 session, which are held for 3 consecutive saturday, so hubby could attend (and should, because all the moms are with their hubby biggrin.gif )

The topics is very useful IMO, it covers diet in pregnancy, exercise, labour process, breastfeeding, and taking care of newborn . And there's a tour to delivery ward, showing us the labour room and also post labour suites. Since i'm planning to labour there, so i find this very helpful thumbup.gif

Looking for ante class too.

Call Jenlia Maternal Service, too bad their are fully book on Dec & no class on Jan.

having my check up at Gleaneagles, but heard that their ante natal class is so so only. SJMC is better but more expansive. Any comment?

Just tell the nurse at the reception that you want to sign up. They will help you.

Just finished ante natal at sunway. RM300 for three days. Afternoon session 2 - 5.30 -for a couple (husband wife or Wife + female friend/family).

It was okay. They tell you things like breastfeeding vaccination, how to bathe the baby, how to give birth.. and the details of giving birth etc etc. how to clean your baby and stuff. I think the nurses will also tell you when you are admitted/discharged. Quite informative. Unless you already google everything at all times, then you'll feel quite bored.

Information is standard information and the free stuff is very little!

I think more worth it to spend the money on birthing classes or lactation classes. Maybe SDMC/sjmc is better.
