My line very frequently gets disconnected. What could be the prob? I've checked and it shows that Local line attenuation is 35.5 dB and remote line attenuation is 15.0 dB

Could the high attenuation be the prob? Getting very frustrated with the connection! vmad.gif

What can be done to rectify this problem?

need some help...sometimes, when i'm turn off my modem and then on it back, it can't login..actually i've set my modem(kasda) to be autodial and the problem is that my connection is not totally disconnected when i first turn it off. when calling TMNET, they will reset/kill the connection and then i just can reconnect immediately...is there any other way rather than calling TMNET to kill my previous connection....

This the time needed by the access server to reset your session login. Though sometimes it will do it very quickly.

this is what those tmnet ppl called hang session, it happens once in a while, there are no ways on your side can do about it, it's up to the ppl in tmnet to delete your session.

after bunch of complains, the technician from tm finally came yesterday... drool.gif

due the the cable connected to my house is exposed to "everything" the quality was affected. the technician tried to hide the cables under my house roof and all went better, there's no disconnection till now (hopefully will last). attached before and after service photos for reference. thumbup.gif

osxchd : hehheeh good to hear...ur SNR went up by tonnes ^^. i share the same experience too, the technician came onli to find that my telephone cable was real BLACK and after i touch it half the cable crumbled to ashes ><.

stevenlys : 2-3 days dc once is quite random, but ur snr is still pretty low, and ur having a lot of crc error. try running the ping test so isolate the problem. CRC errors are quite remote and hard to isolate as they can happen anywhere along the data path.

I try the ping the few of the Ip you gave and i got no problem with it. The time for it is about 80-200ms. Got any other method to solve the CRC error? Cause everytime i ping it the CRC error will increase.
How about the SNR problem? Should i call 100 for those contrator to check my line??
Sorry for asking so many noobs question...
