yeah..its kinda good..for beginner..coz u dunno what distro to use...nyway..try to change to another distro time by time..not slalu..juz kekdang..so u can learn n find which more suitable act..coz.at first..i really want GUi interfaces..but seem now i even didnt use monitor...hehehe..but any linux can run on konsole(shell)...

using telinit 3 ...for those who know...nyway telinit 5 for X.org interfaces

yes.. i also wanna learn more using command but didn find good site about detail description on linux command. i just found simple command like ls,cp,rm and so on. if somebody has found some usefull site about linux command let me know will ya sweat.gif

evilguy, tarak hal. i also trying to find any site for beginner linux fundamental. will tell ya later, still surfing oh yea btw, if u wanna find any UNIX basic commands, better try to find Practical UNIX by QUE. I think i bought it at MPH.

urm..long2 time ago.. i learn from faqs..n mostly trial n error..n got sum frenz from german ..they teach me the basic...still remember it..how to mount my windows drive lar.how to dual boot windows me n linux ...harhar..sweet memory..

but mostly..trial n error.muh first time wit linux..i wanna learn linux coz ..dat time.peepz say hackers use linux..harhar..so stupid dat time..when me darjah 6(1998).redhat i remember my first distro..but cant remember where i get the cd..imbi maybe..or other place... i start learnin bout server with apache.php n mysql first at windows for basic server...then i migrate to linux server..coz php great on linux as asp great on windows...

dont misunderstood like other thread said, just the kernel is free but some distro required we to buy couse they provide support for use. only fedora is free to use. smile.gif

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 is based on Fedora Core 3, so if you want to learn a little about RHEL 4 for free, use Fedora Core 3.

for suse...yerp..u need to pay...but not as much as windows if i not mistaken..
