This guide serves as an Ultimate compilation of many guides, combined to ease the browsing of Fellow LYN Dragon Nest players. These guides are mostly translations as this is a china server and there will be alot players who doesnt understand chinese but are playing this game as well...

So mod if you read this... please do not delete or merge or etc. because It's tiring how people search for posts and such... you wanna delete? delete the registration guide or the Dragon Nest old thread... i will give them credits... i hope you understand.. thank you...

A brief introduction about Dragon Nest... DN is a MMO-ARPG i would say... there's no more point and click - old school system in this MMO.. their aiming system is on the center of the screen and there you go.. every movement you do focuses there... Think about a FPS game... or rather a third person shooter... that's how ARPG is like... The game is developed by eyedentity games and hosted first at Nexon Korea... now the game has finally come to a server without IP block and also more players that understands the game language... China...

Cut the crap... Now we're on to business...

To register a normal Dragon Nest Account

1. Click here to the official site: http://dn.sdo.com/

2. After loading the page, you could find many buttons: Registration, Client Download and Patch Download. (You need to download and install all the patches. pleast note that all the patches will be .exe files so that you just install them in the Dragon Nest folder )



After installing the client, you just click the Registration Button and go to the next page.

3. Choose the left Rigstration Button to create a normal account.



4. Fill in the accout and password. (Below them you can fill in the Chinese Name and ID Number so as to create an Adult Account, otherwise your accout will be ranked as 18- account. It may afftect you in the future, but not the beta test. lol! )



5. Congrats! Now you successfully created your Dragon Nest Account! Go for your adventure!



Prevent Anti-addict system
Now once you're done you'll need to deactivate an Anti-addict system so that you can always log in without waiting..
To do that....Follow these 3 steps..

1-Generate an IC here - http://www.tool7001.com/sfz/index.php

3-Write name and IC here... http://pwd.sdo.com/PTInfo/PTInfo/FillAdultInfo.aspx

When you are done.. congratulations... moving on to server choice...

Choosing Region and Server
Now before you get to log in and choose servers... you have to choose which Region do you belong to... not that it matters but you need it so that we can meet up... and so that you can UPDATE....

First Choose the region.. Press this button


Then choose this region.. EXACTLY this one... 华中电信一区
Note: it will be very laggy here and the process seems to be not responding.. be more patient... it's not what you think it is.. let it run and wait just to press OK....


Now when you're done... you can update by pressing this button.. when you're done it'll turn red... that means update is Successful and you can start the game now...


When you're in... Choose the first server... there's a number 1 there.. Please notice.. 1服-雷霆之怒

Forgive me for not censoring my status....Note that not all SwordMasters are having bad stats like this... neither are they having such bad achievement in PvP... it's just me.. i'm not a good player....

Now how to look for quests' requirements.. Here i'll guide you how to match the words....
Also, this post includes some censored words (in English) which you may wanna avoid...

Now, for those who doesnt understand, please feel free to ask... of course provide the picture because when you cant read i dont think you can write too, yea?

PL = FTG = fatigue points left
FB = Fu Ben = Dungeon maps
刷图 = brush map (direct translate) = grind dungeon
PT = pu tong = 普通 = Normal level for a dungeon map...
JY = EXP
#J #Y = #G #Y = #Gold #Silver (# as numbers)
CD = cool down (logical)
任务(when click npc) = Quests

Now i figured that some quests need Hard or Master or Abyss level to do in order to complete it.. here are the words and where you should look for them.... there is no quests for easy... and there are quests for Normal... but i dont think you'll need the picture because we'll usually go for Normal in a party...

The terms for levels of every dungeon...
简单 = Easy
普通 = Normal
困难 = Hard
大师 = Master
深渊 = Abyss

Now where to look for them...

This is for Master... and sometimes or i rather say.. usually.. they'll ask you not just to clear it but with Grade C and above too!

Crafting Guide
Craving for ++ your weapon? Do not fret... here i'll teach you how to craft and also enhance...

First talk to blacksmith... i believe you know who is it.. there's only one in every town burning metals and shaping them...


Now enhancing... There's gems needed and some amount of fee... the better the weapon is.. the more expensive it will be... also the more enhanced the weapon is.. the more fee is required... As for what levels of enhancing is the maximum.. i could not be sure yet... but if you reach +12 the world chat will have your name...
Enhancing from 1-6 will not destroy the weapon even if it fails.. and yes it MAY fail even if it's from 1-6. However +7 onwards.. your weapon will start to glow... your slashes will turn BLUE instead of orange.... and that's when you may have chance to destroy your weapon if you fail your enhancement.


Crafting is straight forward... You have the items.. you can craft.. there's no job limits to who can craft what or anything similar...


That's basically all about what the blacksmith can do for you...

How to party efficiently!
Now party is very essential as it's the fastest way to level... Partying with chinese people is hard if you dont understand so here i am to continue guiding you...

Let's start from the very basic... Press U and you'll get this window...

Noticed that there is quests levels as when you get them... on the upper left there's tabs to switch between main quests and sub quests... And there is always a picture beside a quest description... the picture is important as.... well... picture speaks a thousand words.. when you talk to a NPC and the same picture keep shows up... that would probably be your next destination... as the more quest is in that dungeon.. you'll tend to get more EXP right? I also added a little extra there as indicated... Board Quests... every dungeon has a board outside of it... a notice board... i'll call it if you'd ask... so there are always quests there if you dont have any other quests... and you can only take one quest from the board... to take the other.. you'll need to forfeit the previous... forfeit button is also there in the picture.. the bottom button.. which i forgot to highlight... my bad... moving on...


Now this comes the important part... Which dungeon to go? As highlighted.. the blue one will usually be the Map BEFORE the dungeon... the map usually just outside of Town... the red one... will be your Destination or your Dungeon Map...
We'll go step by step... which door to go... and then only the destination...


This is what you get when you press M in game... Now the doors are as highlighted and Hover your mouse to the doors.. the name will usually come up... then... match them... that's the only thing you can do. think the characters as pictures and eff-ing match them ROAR....


Say Cheese!!! *ahem*
Now when you reached.. the door will usually have the Name of the map just RIGHT outside the town... meaning the Blue name of the quest picture above..
What if you cant find it in either doors?! Do not fret... sometimes blue portals link to other blue portals as well.. so just move around more...

Now that you know your destination... where should you look for your party...

Press O and this will come up... and the basic information is as shown... Basics and str8 to the point.. not much to say here...


Now to match them....

Here.. There's a private option which only activates when you tick... others are kinda str8 forward...

Q1 : How do i know what items are to keep and what not?
Ans : There are many Gems and pots to keep.. also some special pots from NPC which increase your stats. Otherwise dungeon drops are usually ETC items... you can always sell them to the merchants... Here is a picture of the gems you may wanna keep... They are of green, yellow, black, white, blue, red colours...


Q2 : What do i do with unwanted weapons or equipments?
Ans : you can either sell them or break them apart for gems... you can break them using a machine right outside of the town with a fee..

Q3 : How can i top up cash? Is there any way?

Ans : The blue points are gained by hitting and killing... once you die you'll lose alot of it... the more the blue points you have the higher grade dungeon clear you will get... if you're in a party of 4... your points and you teammate's are combined so that is a very essential score for achieving SSS grade dungeon clear......

Q5 : What does FTG (fatigue) do and how does it work?
Ans : Fatigue is a Bar just complement of the EXP bar... when you enter dungeons... you use them... whether you are a kid, an adult, a VIP.. you still use them... so clarify that here... even if the IC was written and submitted(for the anti-addict system)... 0 FTG points can still stop you from going to dungeons... Anyway patching very slow sammo 1pm only can play haha.

I'll give mod 3 reasons so that this thread remains...
1 - This is a compilation of all guides... easy browsing..
2 - The other 2 threads are started by random people.. Posted a thread and then gone... never active.... as for me, im the exact opposite....
3 - The other 2 thread starters are not on the same server or unknown... I on the other side can help people here as well as ingame.. we wan LYN DN players to gather... so majority would agree with this thread.


It's only for now... the kids when they are back home then the server will be packed... And for the others they are having summer break.. so it's crowded... bear with it... because this was the smoothest server we ONLY have b4 they add alot more servers inside when we are already lv15 above... Packed servers have their advantages too... Things wouldnt get too expensive....

Slow? how come... i 5 mins done le... just need wait 1pm play... ROAR

yeah i notice i dont lose as much HP. I tried to solo master last night, and i lost all my MANA, had to normal attack all the way. It was worth it i guess? i got SSS grade? I have no idea what that does though lol.
