I was recommended to add this additives when I service my Wira air cond. Does this make any difference?

addictive is proven as myth...it's a waste of money

say no to additives...no matter engine oil,petrol treatment,power steering & etc.....as long you maintain the car..i dont see why you need to use additives...it will not make any effects or even you will not notice it

my gf's wira 1.3 carb air-cond compressor its a 15 year old car already, and 2 month ago, the compressor begins to create sound/noise so took it to my regular air cond technician he said my compressor is going to break down soon , i got 2 choice change a new one or put 2 cans of nasa like urs with this might prolong the compressor's life to 6 months more. well it did the job. 2 cans cost me rm 80 with no other charge. think again. my regular mechanic explain the same thing to me too.

that's what my mechanic told me. the additives is suppose to make it cooler. but somehow i don't feel the difference. probably have to wait until hot noon sun to test it out again.

btw, 2 cans for rm80? that's cheap. mine cost rm48 a can.

i guess it makes more difference to the wallet rather than the performance.

haha my mechanic also charge me rm 48 like that the last time i asked him, but air cond guy charge me cheaper. maybe will be colder a bit cause compressor working smoother, just the nasa oil wont make much different.

i rather use good branded fully synthetic oil than use mineral china oil with addictiive

nasa r134A...my mechanic also uses it...this old man has been in the a/c biz for very long time...

u r talking about engine oil or what? and give an example of fully synthetic oil that can be use as refrigeration.

for normal maintain for ur old compressor is like this
- once a year add oil to it (coz old compressor use piston like our engine so its need to lubricate, its jamn coz no lubricant at all)
- the normal service which is cleaning all to make ur blower blows stronger n keep the system clean to avoid clogged..
- now there is no longer use OLD GAS, been activated from last month, if there is still got workshop use it, they can be sumons rm10k penalties...

We are talking about air-cond compressor oil as oppose to engine oil

my car is 5 years old and this is the 1st time i service the air cond. a/c service alone cost rm120 + rm48 for the additives.

compressor oil also got synthetic and mineral

i used this additive once.. while putting in the oil, temp meter was put inside the a/c vent (inside car) with the a/c switched on earlier.. after about 1 min, i saw temp dropped 2c lower than before using the additive..

well it would be nice if u can reply my previous post regarding example of synthetic ones and proof that nasa is mineral and china made.

im talking about using good compressor oil oppose to using Nasa addictive. I dont know wat nasa addictive made of.

and u know other good brand that r made from? and nasa addictive are not good? at least u know something that u can say others are not good or bad. its like accusing nasa is horrible.

Wat good brands r there? If not appropriate to post then mayb pm me.
