This release is geared towards being the tournament version


In response to questions/comments about Fun Tavern:

I'm not prepared to have invoker participate in a competitive tournament at this point, so its either remove him or make him availablle via 1 extra command. About techies, a large portion of this community wanted him removed. Instead of removing him, i allow him to be used as normal via 1 command. This tavern allows for alot more fun things in the future too.

Just because a heroes moved to this tavern doesn't not mean in any way that he won't make it back.

DotA Allstars v6.12b

--I appologize for the frequent releases, but i needed to release this to address
some issues and make this map stable as i did not feel 6.12 was better then 6.09b
in ANY way, 6.12b will be though. There is also a very abusable bug with
chronosphere that was reported and needed to be fixed asap.

--Tweaked clinkz, leo, tb and naix. Better balance between 6.12 and 6.09b
--Stout shield removed, may be reintroduced as a recipe item in the future
--Improved necronomicon and its abilities as it levels
--Recipes sell for 80% of the cost, helps with misclicks
--Few misc typos and bugs

--I've decided to restore techies. Not because i don't think the reasons
for his issues are valid, but because i think the concept of that tavern
for a hero like techies is flawed. He was in DotA for a very long time.
If someone has an idea to make him a better overall hero, suggest it,
but i won't outright remove him from normal play. I'd rather get a better
solution for him, and i intend to, in the very near future.

--The New hero tavern "-new" will be used mainly for future heroes as a buffer
location, which will further improve map stability. Invoker is in that tavern
now but he will be moved to normal in a version or so after he becomes stable.

--I do not want to see posts complaining about anything until you guys actually
TRY the new changes in a few games, as they are more or less all for the better.

--I will be implementing a strict balance forum system in the near future to help filter between noob complaining and real issues.

Many many bug fixes that were introduced last version have been resolved.
Extremely Inaccurate rupture tooltip fixed + Given visible indicator.
Delay spawn on neutral creeps as suggested by 'esby' on forums.
Reduced creep spawn lag.
Various minor balances changes (Thats right, i didn't list them!)

Don't use old rupture tooltip to compare the damage, the old one was VERY off. It was much more then it listed.

-A lot of work was done on -mm and -du this version and game mode order logic.
However, for the sake of map stability, it needs more work and testing. Expect more

-The map should be a lot more balanced and bug free now, pending any 1.19 issues,
to better prepare it for real competitive and overall public use. There will probably be a
minor update in the near future to clean up any remaining issues that come up.

Thanks to everyone that submits bugs and typos.

If you guys ever have a fatal error and everyone else on the team had it, please upload it to the stickied thread in bugs forum.

For serious games, i recommend only using regular pick if you want more control over the balance.

There is a fully intended ~1 sec delay to recipe creation put in. It is to monitor it and see if it has any relationship with item based fatal errors.

Expect 6.20 to have the other modes restored and fixed along with a bunch of other new things.

This is being released because of two main reasons. To meet some requests by blizzard and to do a final patch before the longer release cycle, 6.20. Along with 6.19b there is an optional 6.19b no audio version, which is required for blizzcon and some other events that i cannot disclose at this time. The optional version will be linked in this section in the near future.

After a week or so of usage on this version, if no major issues come up, this will be the version for use in league and tournament play, as well as some other undisclosed events in the near future.

Some of you will complain regarding some of these balance changes. Generally AoE and Long disables saw some form of a nerf. Most Heroes that were nerfed saw a buff somewhere else. For the most part this is power redistribution. You'll just have to trust me that they are for the best. After a tweak or two, it will result in a considerably more balanced and enjoyable game. You shouldn't expect many other large scale tweaks like this, so you can now start focusing on perfecting builds and matchup strats for the leagues that are starting soon. After a version or two, to iron out any issues that come up, I recommend leagues use -lm for competitive gaming.

From a survey i did, at least 75% liked the new terrain and 25% liked the older, from that 25%, at least 3/4 of them changed their minds a few games, so give it a few tries before judging it.

Fixed some bugs (some major) as well as some other issues (many abuseable, so won't disclose).

Sorry for the frequent releases, hopefully all the bugs will be done with in a version or two max.
After that, a version will be announced as the latest stable map for competitive use.
For now, all serious play should use the last stable version.

As far as future plans, after this version set has all its issues fixed, i'll work on a new sent and scourge tavern as well as a new recipe shop.
Probably something like 4-5 new heroes for each side to start off, then fill the rest as time goes.

Thanks for everyone that reports bugs, its a great way to contribute to the map.

Normally i'd wait for more fixes, but this bug had such a huge impact on many abilities that it would single handedly cause many games to be ruined.

Reworked Mark of the Abyss and tweaked some of his other abilities a little
Smokescreen aoe decreased
Enrage manacost removed, cooldown increased
Toss no longer damages towers
You don't lose a level in DM after dying
Enabled dm with ar, do -dm then -ar
Scorched earth regen decreased
Fixed broodmother web issue in dm
Fixed bug in troll melee mode leveling
Crushing Wave mana cost reduced a bit
Enchantress attack range reduced

Hopefully the bug that causes many triggered abilities to fail sometimes is fixed in this version.
However, i still recommend all serious games use 6.19b until it is clear.

There won't be anymore major balance changes after this (at least not nerfs), just bug fixes if any come up, then work begins on a new major version (which will take longer but will he heavily tested) while this version set gets sent for use in leagues and various other tournaments and secret events we have planned.
