Manga creator Suzuhito Yasuda has announced  on his Twitter account that his Yozakura Quartet manga is getting a new anime adaptation starting with the ninth compiled book volume, which goes on sale this October. He has been working on the Yozakura Quartet ~Hoshi no Umi~ project since last summer. Yasuda adds that the new anime will be a "reset" from the earlier television anime series, and that it will completely follow the original manga (unlike the television version).

Ryoochimo Sawa is directing, designing the characters and overseeing the animation production. Tatsunoko Pro and KMMJ Studios are producing, and the studio Kusanagi is handling the backgrounds. Yu Kobayashi is in charge of storyboards. Atsushi Suemitsu, the musician better known as Suemitsu & The Suemith, is performing the ending theme song and composing the background music. Despite the changes in the staff from the earlier television anime series, Yasuda says that the cast will remain unchanged.

Well, the first YQ wasn't bad, but it was spectacular either. Just a decent anime for killing time.

Anyway, a reboot is always welcomed for YQ. I hope the characters can be expanded more compared to the first.

Will it still be nomad? They're not bad, but perhaps JC staff or brains base could do a better job tongue.gif
