Last week during pcfair final chapter of 2009 in klcc, me and steno was invited to join casual meeting upon organizing the Cyberfusion 2010. It's the same like Cyberfusion 2009 where most all of us /as/ member went through the hardships of 43 hours non stop gaming via LAN. Only this time /as/ will be treated as an entity, our voices will be heard and our existence will be visible.

Cyberfusion 2010 representatives had promised us with 2 projectors just for sole purpose of watching the anime during the gath. it will be official and all screening will be legal since they'll ask the authority to view it to public (/as/ members) via kementerian penerangan, komunikasi, kesenian dan kebudayaan malaysia. we got 2 big screen for our pleasure later. so you can tell us what u want to watch during the event. i'll take the most wanted anime series chosen by /as/ member ourselves.

Since the real event is more on LAN party and gathering of course Cyberfusion 2010 will gather malaysian pro and casual gamers in one event together with /as/ community as well. Like last time. we'll have our hourly lucky winner of free gifts. early rumors about our sponsors will still be the AMD as the biggest among all sponsors soon. and this time around, you'll have the opportunity to bring your other consoles, not just pc but ps3, xbox and wii as well if u pleased.

It will be held in cyberjaya just like last year. and it will be for 3 days and 2 nights events.

now lets move to the main part of this topic. Since we will be sponsored during the event. organizer just want some feedback on what u want them to provide and what u want to avoid during the event. so far i only asked for free anime screenings via projectors and internet connections for the lulz. i just want to gather the info on what u want during the event so that i can inform them as early as possible. i need some input, feedback or whatever u say about this event. be it cosplay or anime karaoke competition, it'll point it out for them.

What we want list:
1) Anime Screening on projector (e.g: Slam Dunk, macross, samurai x)
2) Internet Connection (get a faster one)
3) LCD and table as well as arm chair/More power extensions, MORE!
4) Proper place as for camping (sleeping bags maybe?)
5) Provide proper place to smoke without interfering non smokers space
6) Treasure hunting. "MAKE IT HAPPEN! XD"
7) Board/tabletop games.
8) anime quiz competition
9) (Dorama on stage - should be random or volunteers) calling visitor to voiced over certain anime of certain scene on the stage
10)Setting up or invite Bookstores that will be selling manga with cheaper price than the retail market price
11)Official Distributor selling anime in DVD/Blu Ray format with cheaper price
12)

What we want to avoid:
1) Too Noisy Commentator
2) Poor Quality of Food provided (we demand KFC )
3) Dirty toilet (smoker applied)
4) The lack of drinking water supply
5) bad music arrangements and tracks
6)

Good idea on pursuing ANIMAX as sponsors

No offense to anyone, this is my honest opinion.
1. Anime screening : I dun think ppl got time for that. Pc + free games = gaming non-stop la.
2. Internet Conection : Yes, we definitely need one. But then, in b4 torrent/MU/RS/P2P/Youtube mofo.
3. LCD and tables and armchair. : Something like last year is more than enough. Miss 'em. :3
4. Power extension : One average PC should use at least 2 power plug, not including the speaker, wheels, 2nd LCD etc.
5. camping place : Uhh.... no. Just no. We can just sleep on our chair la.

What I'd like for CF2010.
1. Redbull!! Tons of 'em!
2. Maybe Nescafe would be fine too.
3. Hassle-free network setup. Coz last time need to set up static IP and such.
4. Maybe SM or TSB or whoever that sponsor us Steam games last time can give us physical copy of the games (DVD and such) instead of sharing 'em on file server. Last time, I ended up putting all the games on my external hard disk and began passing around to ppl who want to play it. 10 hours++ of my time were gone like that.
5. Prepare a room for smoker. Yes, I'd appreciate that.
6. Invite pro-commentator like last time. That guy is gdamn kickass one!
7. More free games!! Online games, steam games, I love 'em all!


err I'm not trying to be one ungrateful ******* here, but I was hoping to get another free processor like last time. Ahaha.

let them deal with the torrent user like last time. i guess they're already aware of that on the first hand. mike just want to blend LAN PARTY and ANIME GATH into one big event that's all.

1 - Read again. The anime screening is also for outside ppl that comes to watch the event, and not just for the participant
2 - That's why we NEED static IP. Coz we can detect who the faggot who are leeching the bandwith
3 - bawak extention sendiri la bai. Bukan apa, kalau aku sanggup bawak satu dalam beg 24/7 aku rasa korang pun boleh kan?
4 - Physical copies are redundant, as you need to also give key for them to use. Last time it's a free key. I doubt they want to give a retail key.

let that anime sponsorships and granting license apart. those will be settle after we concluded on what we want for the event first
like what linkin said. they MIGHT gave you the temporary usable keys only for the event. as for the free games, i won't be flattered if the wish could come true. but those were beyond our field. maybe u can ask jali on things like this. since he'll be on the pro gamers part.
