On local servers: No interest. I'd willingly die from invisible mobs (due to 10k latency
On farmers: I had a nice time playing with Bebo (at least the 7am to 7pm version of him) and you know what? I sympathise. Being paid to play a game for 12 hours a day is so frightening I'm lost for words. The sad thing is that Bebo really wants to play, and as soon as he fills his quota of 100g, he'll start having fun. He wants to go to BRD, BRS etc etc but work simply doesn't allow for it. And who would want him anyway? He speaks nearly no English and can't rez (He's a pally O.o). Oh BTW.....I got gold farming tips On whether MY players now on US servers are giving trouble: No. Hey, the registeration process is a pain....how many 15 year olds are gonna beg mommy to give them a CC number, then use a false address, then.....I'm not saying 15 year olds are immature, but the percentage of immature 15 year olds sure beats the percentage of immature 20, 30 40 year old folks (not much but its all we get. Grasp at the straws baby!) On transfering accounts: I doubt high levels will be transferable to local servers. That would create an imbalance and much hue and cry (nerf high levels til we're all high levels!). If I need to start over to play on a SEA server (mind you, thats a big big IF) i'd rather, well, die to invisible mobs. |

Hi, first post ^^
It might not be a good thing if there weren't any "locals" around to advise blizzard on certain things. Like the regional collection of multi-lingual, multi-racial profanities ^^ |

Nay there is nothing with farming as long as you don't things to hurt the game economy like e-baying items to get profit from that. The prices in AH all screwed up. Even the newbies or the lowbies can't afford to buy. Then all will start farm which is bad. 15s beat the 20s 30s? Hell no! There are more adults you can imagine playing than kiddies I tell you. Btw... I haven't seen much ppl beggings for item and gold. Very little I can say (well for the server i play on) but not sure if the others are the same. I would help some lowbies for a quick area/instance run if I happen to be there to do something. And guess what? I even give quite alot of things to myguildmates totally free. Like the regional collection of multi-lingual, multi-racial profanities ^^ Yes localization is good but that will depends on the level you localize. As for the lingual part, if you don't understand the game why would you want to buy it and play it? Blizzard might want to come out with a translated version soon but well... I'll prefer to play the English one. This post has been edited by da3shou3: Jan 31 2005, 12:53 PM |

But anyway sure they will do multi lingual even nobody ask for it. just like korea, chaina, taiwan and europe server all have their own and only europe have english. no big deal about the language cos im playin the english one anyway.

If it is indeed a SEA region title, then I don't think Malay would be the delivery language as its not exactly standard throughout the region. English most likely, and you just can't translate fantasy lore (loook at what happened with Dawn of War |

LOL... Big guys with small brains? I'd say they are brainless. After Blizzard implements the Honor System we'll see less i guess.
And I don't have to go Bloodhoof or Camp Narache everytime just to scare some stupid mid 20s |

I for one will stay in NA server even if the SEA server have 100x better ping and so on for one obvious reason, the community
Just days ago I asked a Rogue in IF to open a Thorium Lockbox for me, /s , not /w, and a lot of people started to spam trade with me, wanting to to accidently trade it with him instead of the Rogue I talking to, and even a lvl40 warrior offer to open it for me, even though you're a blacksmith I don't see the point you want to lose a key, and it is a thorium, stupid scammer Now imagine those thing happen in local server everytime you in IF I help people who need help, I even make some scope free for low lvl hunter since I know they having problem finding a better bow/gun, but greedy people and typical ******* we can find in local community, no thanks |

QUOTE(pesky @ Jan 31 2005, 09:44 AM) Not meaning to be rude but you will still have to pay for the key which ties in with your account. So there will still be the initial cost of the game if you intend to play at home or not. As for the mentality of the local community when it comes to mmorpgs, you STILL have the option to play on US servers or local servers. But we will have to wait and see about the management team that will be handling the servers. Especially the GM's. No point having an efficient in-game bug/abuse reporting system if the GM's don't act on it. Yea I know - was comparing RO (no need to pay for client) and WoW (need to pay for client, whether for key or box). So the demographics of both targets are different price-wise, which may serve to do SOME filtering when it comes to spending power. So you may end up with spoilt rich kids and yuppie gamers In any case, just imagine servers full of existing Malaysian/Asian WoW players on US servers today and there u go. Then again, you guys are using CC to pay monthly right? There may be some differentiation there. |

Most of us pay by CC. Think only 1 or 2 looking for the gamecard.
Well just hope that the exchange rate for MYR to USD got better then it would be much cheaper. (Then more kiddies might comes |

QUOTE(mainFrame @ Jan 31 2005, 02:09 PM) Well the US/Europe gamers and Malaysians gamers (refering to MMORPG-ers) have different attitudes. And virtually those who have similar attitude like the US/Europe players do not even considering playing RO or those similar local MMORPG. edited: left out a word there This post has been edited by da3shou3: Jan 31 2005, 05:32 PM |
