Hi, I have changed the power settings in the control panel to never for sleep, hibernate and turn off display. However, i still notice that the screen goes blank and there is no sound exactly 20 minutes regardless of the player. I've tried with Windows Media Player and VLC. Once i move the mouse, the screen appears within 1-2 seconds.

I'm using Win 7 64 bit.

Did i miss any settings? icon_question.gif

You power setting is probably set to turn off your screen after a set amount of time.

Or maybe it is set to go to sleep after a set amount of time. Then after it wakes up, your sound driver is not loaded properly, hence no sound for a while.

It is at balanced mode. The display turns off correctly when i set it. I tried 2 min and its works. Only for movies it's around 20 minutes.

I restored to default now and the display turns off and the com sleeps according to the default setting.

No error.

I changed the monitor setting to turn off the display after 3 hours, never for sleep & hibernate.

Does not seem to work. I though of making a new profile and testing it.

What is your motherboard? Could you give more details on your computer specifications...

And is your Windows 7 64-bit trial? If yes, then what build...? You can find them at bottom right...

Yes, there's a point there because i could not install from my cd. I think it's meant for vista/XP. However, i don't know what i did and it is installed at a older version. I updated it in the device manager.

Although i downloaded the latest version for Win 7, all will pass except the ATI display driver.

My thread few weeks ago
http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=1219827&hl=

The BSOD's mentioned there are due to Wifi USB.

Since you mentions ATI display driver can't run properly, have you tried other GC.

Remember to remove driver first then change with other GC or using build-in GC? Have you try these 2 options...?

There's a latest driver for the gc. I downloaded and it works fine. Let me test the 20 minutes display thing and report here. Thanks for all the help so far. smile.gif
