As i discuss with others about borderlands games, there's a dude and join our topic and eventually leads the topic to Cod6 / Cod4 MW2.

This person is from Russia and has informed me that modern warfare 2 in russia is about 550 rubles.

550 rubles... how much is that? do a conversion in www.xe.com , if you do the conversion, you ain't gonna believe the price with your eyes.

550 Rubles is RM 65. that is about 1/3 price of modern warfare 2 price in malaysia.

As i don't believe about this info, and kept searching, there's some clue about this details, and also certain people has pointed out the game lowest price is 380 rubles. *Please do remember it is original and not pirated*

However, there's some drawback about russia version, because "No Russian" has been removed from single players, because of certain problem. That's the only drawback problem that i could have find for now.

As for language option, there's a few member in another forum has been saying that after they purchasing russian version of Modern Warfare 2, It will still be in english, and we'll be able to understand about what it's saying.

For now, i'm currently searching if anyone that is in russia are able to help me purchase modern warfare 2 cd key. because i don't really mind about removing the "No Russian" content, single player has always been able to play in pirated, that's the cold hard truth, i'm buying just for multiplayer.

Just want to let you know that there could be region lock. Better do more research before you decide to buying anything from overseas.

Cyclonechuah: There are generally 2-3 countries in the world that will have extremely reduced prices for original games for localization reasons. One of them is Thailand (Which can get you games for as low as RM 30).

As JuzJoe, these games are usually region locked (Meaning you can't play outside of the country they were meant for) and considering MW2 is a Steam game (Meaning you need to be online to authenticate it), its probably region locked.

Only VPNs work. And using a russian VPN everytime you want to play your cheap MW2 is kind of stretching it.
Not to mention that it's breaking Steam's EULA or something.

FWIW some dude in Russia re: MW2 (Context is game getting banned in Russia and console copies pulled from store shelves)

QUOTE
TBH don't see whats all the fuss is about.

The PC version of the game is availiable since the 10th. Ye it doesn't have this mission, but as soon as you change the language in steam to English, the missions back.

As for consoles, they pretty much dont exist here, so if in usa you had 100xbox sales per 1 pc sale, here you have 100pc sales per 1 xbox sale.

And that makes sense, since the pc version of the game costs 8-12 euro, depending where you get it, and the xbox version goes for 30+.

Seems like contentwise it's identical. If you wanna mess with Steam/etc to find out, be my guest (After all it IS only a ~RM40 experiment)
