If the product is bought from us, of couse no problem. If he want us to send back to him by courier, he have to pay for the charges. Thanx you.

Currently I'm having trouble sending in a Maxtor HDD i bought a couple of years back. The drive is dead, very noisy when connected to PC. So from this thread, I got Ingram Micro's number and called their warranty dept. From the serial number, they checked that the retailer which bought the stock was Conquest Computer in Sunway Pyramid.

So, I go to Conquest but they denied my request to get an RMA. They said they don't deal with Ingram anymore! I called Ingram again and it's true, Conquest has had their account closed. So now I'm stuck. Faiz from Ingram said that my only hope would be to find a retailer that has an account with them and I just pay the retailer the handling costs (should be around RM50+). Basically, like tumpang-ing on the retailer's account sort of. He mentioned some shops in LYP but I haven't tried asking them yet.

Anyone faced this kind of problem before? Or, is anyone working in a shop with an account with Ingram? I'll pay the handling costs, no problem.

Actually we also not sure about that coz they don`t mention what is happening to the stuff when it is returned to us...As we know if let say they can`t fix the problem then they will replace a brand new one.. thumbup.gif thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

I got 1 maxtor 80gb hdd
appearently the hdd can be detected but can't access...
already got some 'kliking' sound...
bought from you a year ago.. means warranty for 1 year already finish..
only half of my data can save another half bye..bye..
can send to RMA??
