if ts is just using those specs/the psu is till fine, why waste money buying a new psu?

btw pc hardwares are using less energy by each generation

TS can use eXtreme Power Supply Calculatorthis as a reference to check whether you got enough power from your PSU or not.

ur PSU is 650watt.

maybe you should try with 350watt PSU then you tell us whether it still works or not.

Brother i understand what ur getting at but his Enlight PSU isn't such a slouch like u would come to understand..
Enlight PSu's are actually made by Delta Electronics, they are psu suppliers to OEM like Dell, Acer etc..
Even tho the watt is kinda small comparing to current trend but i do believe it can supply what it stated eg Truepower tho maybe 70% efficiency..
His spec isn't gonna use much watt, at max around 200W, thats why people are saying his psu couldn't be the culprit hmm.gif

the bolded part, you really made me lo laugh.gif l...that only applies for internal combustion engine, not a gpu.if the gpu is too slow, the game's fps will be low, slideshow .not damaging it.

for your spec, even a 230w powerlogic psu is enough, what more a 350w psu.if the psu is not enough the pc will turn off when it is under heavy load, booting windows is not a heavby load towards the gpu

try other gc from friends or relatives or neighbour, see if it is still the same.and try other psu just to be sure.one more thing, try booting with one dimm only at a time, and try the saem dimm at all slots before try another dimm.that way you can take the ram out of the equation
*

Haha....glad that u hav a good laugh on that....anyhow i will discuss this in below reply to Najmods

As for your third point, wat is this dimm u r refering to?

QUOTE(Najmods @ Nov 8 2009, 07:49 PM)
Lol for InitialD reference, this is not car you talking about, if the card have 350MHz it runs 350MHz all the time, its not its going to ramp up the clockspeed to cope whatever you playing or whatever resolution you play. The blank screen can be two problem, heat or insufficient power. I doubt it requires new PSU, what is your graphics card temperature?

RAM is highly unlikely, as you'll get either BSOD or system totally crash
*

Yaya...i know this is not a car....but the issue is still quite the same here, at least i think.....Like you say: if the card have 350MHz it runs 350MHz all the time, same go with a car. A car with 200 horse power will NOT go up to 300 horse power. Same thing happens to a car torque. Takumi's engine blows because of heat issue. (Correct me if i'm wrong....any car lover here?).

So my point is.....maybe my gc has been working too hard (playing game in 23" LCD) that the heat goes too high and spoiled the gc. You also know heat can also be a issue here, otherwise u won't ask about it smile.gif Or there is no such case as heat spoiled a gc??

So i want to know about whether my pc built is ok? Can a 9500GT play game in 23" LCD, or i need to upgrade my 'engine' like wat Takumi did to his car. tongue.gif

Stop the car-PC relation nonsense, there is no such thing, its the same like you playing on low resolution with high detail, the card WILL struggle to render most newer games, like Crysis, it will be low framerate and stutter like hell, but it won't blow up.

Like InFe_eD said, if you card really 'blow up' like the car in that movie, your card wont display anything, like the car wont even start and need to be towed, that is common sense is it?

one thing i'd like to correct, sometimes card go bongker does not result in total no display or can't boot Windows. smile.gif i've experienced cards that just refuses to be recognized but works with standard VGA drivers.

Play games with 23" LCD kill GFC ???
Answer is NO...
Heat, Unstable PSU, electric static, manufacture defect or user own error would kill GFC...

Ohh? shakehead.gif I just so used to saying like "put that rams into dimm2 and 3"

Yeah, goldfries and others point it out already, LOL doh.gif . still thanks for your concerns anyway sweat.gif

The point is we are trying to make the TS understand that he cannot compare InitialD scene to his gpu.
