I reformatted my comp, cause it was time for me to do so, and to make it fresh.

After i did so, i went to a few sites, kaspersky internet security detected some trojan, after a few reboot, my computer became really slow when opening video files, and when i have a list of videos in windows media player and i hit next, it takes a while to skip to the next one. Also when i minimize a window, it doesnt minimize smoothly, it seems like it lags abit, so u can see few frames of it being minimize, and when i move smaller windows around, it left a white colored trail.

After i had this, i reformatted, everything was fine, and after some time, i went to the same site, again(cause i wasnt sure if it was really that or something else....and i was curious...and i wanted to go to that site...its good stuff), kaspersky detected something from it, like Iframer Trojan, same thing as last time. After a few updates from windows update, of course i have to reboot, after i reboot, my computer had that same problem again.

I use to alt+ctrl+del to see the ram percentage, its really low at 7%+.

I HAVE DONE:

disk cleanup,
disk defragment,
disk checking error thing on that blue screen,
kaspersky scan,
ad-aware scan,
malwarebytes scan
close out useless start ups

Some of the scans detected SOME stuff, and deleted it, kaspersky detected the IFramer Trojan, it says its on High Criticality, and its Infected. Theres a button for disinfect but doesnt seem to be able to click it.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So after all that, my computer is still the same

MY SPECS ARE:

Geforce 8600 GTS
2 gig DDR 2 Ram
Gigabyte P35-DQ6
Windows XP home edition

-------------------------------------------------------------------

My real question is:

What could be wrong with my comp?
Does this virus have anything to do with my slow computer?
Is there a way to get rid of it?
Could this be hardware problem this whole time?

HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED thumbup.gif

have you tried upgrade your XP to service pack 3?
If still slow..try windows 7 for a change..its faster then XP though..using it on my 5 year old laptop..and kaspersky is heavy during running the scanner..and updating the virus database..
