Mythic wants to repopulate tier 1(Level 1-11) so people can get back into the game or have fun with their alts. It's also good to let people test their game with their recent patch that boost a lot of performance.

Tier 4 still depends on the realm though. It may suck if you are playing on the lesser side.

Did not experience any CTDs for months now. The game is much lighter than it was last year. As for lag, my streamyx line is usually the culprit.

10gig download with streamyx is T.T

really? i hear the trial version size is only 1GB. Maybe you have to check that back.

endless trial is 10gigs or at least the mac version is. only reason im trying it cos they bothered with mac version. kinda clever, since mac there's only wow and maybe eve. time to break wow monopoly.

if the client is decent (which from what i've read isnt, says need 4gigs ram minimum wtf... but i havent tested it yet), it will be at least another option for people on the mac to have a decent running mmo.

Can play smoothly with zero lag or performance issue with 2GB ram. My spare rig using 2GB ram and ATI4670... smooth with no hiccups.

The Endless trial was bugged. There was a lot of people who have un-capped endless trial account. They can level and go to any where. My friend hit L28 and was roaming around T3/T4 and IC.

This came to an end yesterday (for him atleast) but his character is still L28 and in T3 area.

hey guys i downloaded the trial version but it seems to be some glitches on my trial copy:

Character screen character stuck in T-pose: but it doesnt happen the 1st time i boot up the game.

Sound glitches: no swinging weapons and weapon hit sounds. When i click some npc they suppose to mutter something, right? but like the char screen bug npc stopped speaking the after the 1st time i boot up the game. Strange.

File check and streaming error: so i tick the file check box on the game launcher menu, and it started redownload some files. Launch the game after that but char still stuck in T-pose. After that i went to the launcher again, tick the file check box again it download the same files all over again.

Dont get me wrong, im happy with the trial, i like to explore the warhammer universe and it's lore a bit more. Hopefully i am able to get this stuff sorted.

any insights on solving my problems?

Turn off streaming and let the game complete the download. Probably some files are missing.

Erm actually by turning on the streaming im able to skip the repeated patching process and it magically fixes my audio and T-pose problem. After checking out the official forums i found out this is a known bug and the to fix it is to buy and upgrade the game client.

i got a taste for the warhammer universe. Only letting chaos players devoted to one god maybe underwhelming but i can see how this fit into the overall setting. And the marauder that mutates his arm is just so cool. Even the same mutation have different kind of shapes!

But there's a feeling on WAR that i cant shake it. Something like "been there done that" feeling ya know...like the overall game mechanic is too lean toward pvp and the warhammer themes become wasted. I dunno.

Like each race have a exact same starting place which is greeted by the tzeentch sorceress. You are already a chosen when you first arrive at the portal. And you already been gifted by the raven god when you arrive as a marauder. And you already a knight of the Blazing Sun order when you just lvl1 wearing peseant clothing. More character/story development would be great instead of throwing you directly to pvp at lvl 5...but alas WAR is pvp centred.

The overall environment is good, the environment settings and the faction settings all in their respective vibe. Cool chaos armor with Tzeentch traits, Germanic Empire troops and those orc looks brutal.

I'll try some other classes and see how it goes.

That's why this game is a good PvP game. The problem is the tier 4 contents. It will get old.
