Hey guys. I'm currently considering purhasing an xbox 360. I went to this shop in mines a couple of days back, and the person in charge told me he's selling a modded 360 elite (jasper) + 2 wired controllers + 10 games for 1.5k, which i think is worth the cash?

Then again, just yesterday when i was scouting around mv, i went to this shop where the lady told me that xbox360 elites are no longer in production. Seems that there's a new generation coming out soon. I'm a noob at this, any idea of what she's saying? haha

So, i'm a lil confused right now. Will purchasing a 360 elite at the moment be a good idea? My budget is 1.6max.
Would appreciate a lil feedback.

by the time its a 'good price' or 'good time', everyone will be probably playing xbox 720 or something...

Elite still in market, SG recently just announced a price reduction and you should check it out there as I think price like 1.5K is pretty expensive.

and remember, try not to buy modded console, pirate sucks~! (and yes, we're not allowed to discuss about it)

modded consoles u will get banned of course u can choose not to touch internet at all... but some games no updates u have problem...
3ROD comes u can jus throw it away... although Jasper is quite save but is better to be safe than sorry...

agree... but i have not renew my live since Feb and my box is 3RODed...
will exchange my box tomorrow and hopefulyl i'll be back on FIFA as soon as Monday...

yes... call them up look for SG call center hotline no... then tell them the problem... if your console for 3ROD... u can call them up but please prepare some info, Serial No, Register User ID (email add), the problem, what have u done for trouble shoot (if haven they will guide u thru the trouble shoot session, Mobile no, Valid SG Address... thats all... after that u can do next day exchange at their service center... how ever the job order/report will only valid for 1 month if u did not go to claim it u have to make another report...

But the problem here is no valid SG address Malaysian disadvantage...
But what if I go there buy a new Elite console and how to apply for the warranty there if no address, sigh...
