the worst I had handled is acer aspire 5562, I just clean the dust 4-5 months ago, and now the dust is that much that I just on the notebook and let it sit there for 5 minutes, shutdown doh.gif
reaching 9xC.
after cleaning, running orthos for couple hours reaching 74C laugh.gif

and the exterior of v3000 is only cheaper and thin plastic, scare break the whole thing, but if dont use extra force cannot take it out doh.gif

and laptop are built in a way that is not service friendly and hard to open, normally the fan will be hidden from the reach of user

laptop manufacturer will only ask us to use compressed air to blow from the intake vent, however it doesn't really work.

That's the prob. Seems very very hard to access the fan. Even though that's the main source of heat.

btw, does ur V3000 overheat? The one on my hand now is a Turion and idles at 50-60..

yeap, a lil compressed alcohol goes a long way..brows.gif

pity can't use for long term, only short burst. (think nitrous oxide on cars)

use copper sheet to replace the thermal pad.
also use copper heatsink for ram, stick it on existing heatsink to increase more surface.
