and upgrade the engine to YRV turbo Auto (K3VE-t abs, dvvt)

would like to ask sifu here... icon_question.gif icon_question.gif icon_question.gif

1. Is that possible i put in the K3VE-t into the old version kembara?(will JPJ approve it..?)

2. Will ABS and DVVT still function after i convert it?(If no,what should i do to make it function..?)

3. Should i change all the braking system ?(If yes.. what brand and how much...??)

4. Can i change the seat to better comfort seat.. ?? (Which model and how much..??)

5. I heard that is somebody upgrading to Supercharger... (worth it?? how much and where to find the shop to do it??)

I choose Old version Kembara... becos the car just cost me RM12k~RM16k...
i like SUV but i cant affort the price for Kia Rondo at the moment....
the kembara suit my budget... notworthy.gif

U put a turbo in the kembara?

r u sure?

without the turbo, this car is as unstable as a 100 ft building in the middle of an earthquake.

Do you really have a deathwish ?

The term would be downgrading to a supercharger!

Firstly, Peter,

Kembara's engine and gearbox (especially the gearbox ratio) is designed to focus on more torque, not for more horsepower. It's a toy 4WD.
It's not a serious off-roader like HILUX or Ford Ranger.
You don't need lots of horsepower if you want to off-road in a jungle or try to climb a steep hill gradient, even if you had 200BHPs. U need lots of torque to do that.

On the other hand, if u need to 0-100 quicker, you need both torque and horsepower ,but focus more on horsepower.

If you really crave for the need of speed, spend your money on another type of vehicle.
Whomever advises you about too dangerous to mod for brute power, is in the right state of mind to advice you.

BTW, supercharging alone will cost more than a turbocharged half cut engine alone.

Sorry, but I feel you are like a headless chicken now; you need more knowledge to get yourself right on track. I won't blame you either.
