Saw this tempting beauty in my front lawn so it is a good subject to show that OK bokeh can be taken with a normal P&S digital camera. This is taken with my old Ricoh Caplio R3 using macro at full zoom. Of course DSLR can do better but at a higher cost.

If only Ricoh advertises more in the Malaysian market.
Most of us here tend to overlook the brand (it's quite unknown in Malaysia, no offense) but the camera produces great pics as shown above. notworthy.gif

I totally agree. Most people go like "Itu bukan brand printer ah?".
Ricoh should definitely advertise more.

Even if Ricoh do a lot more advertsing, it wouldn't stand a chance against Canon-Sony-Panasonic in P&S digital camera; such is the power of branding and marketing. Same case in the camcorder market where Sanyo (and also JVC and Samsung) has some very decent models but no fight against the same Big Three of Canon-Sony-Panasonic. Alas, such is life. cry.gif

Don't forget.
When a brand advertises a lot more, there'll be more cost that'll be presented to the buyer (you and I).

More advertisements = more sales = higher demand = lower pricing.

tongue.gif so debatable.

nice catch, this is where PnS is good at... deep DoF even at small apertures, don't have to worry too much on shutter speed nod.gif

Yes, you are right.
You bump (increase) the ISO when it's low light.
