Either way, saving up to purchase a Zeiss T* FL Lens 85mm 20-40x spotting scope. Then want to spray paint it camo.

Also couple my new rig with a Schmidt and Bender PMII 5-25x 52mm scope, if no marney, buy Leica ER 3.5-14x 42mm and maybe a new SOG, KABAR hunting knife.

I bought the 500D kit in Singapore actually,

costs 1232SGD for kit. I bought hoya filter for SGD19.

So far so good, but the HD movie recording is baad

Welcome to the Canon-club!

Memang not smooth (got stutter) cause it's just 20 FPS at Full HD 1080p.

You should keep DSLR in dry cabinet but if it's too expensive try: Air-tight container + Dry Hippo + Hygrometer (to check air humidity) + Check on it once a month.

I don't like the small size of my 500D so I added a BG-E5.

U bought 500d in singapore?

If u register online on canon singapore, you are entitled to get a 50mm f1.8 for free...

But, i just bought mine last week from Canon Malaysia. now in sing. shit...

There is a privileged purchase program at Canon Service Center SG.
Give them any Canon slr/dslr, pns camera spoiled or functional then you can get the 500D at lower price.
500D = SGD952
500D + 18-55mm IS = SGD1100
500D + 18-200mm IS = SGD1667

All come with free 50mm f1.8

The price is fixed, no matter what camera you trade-in.

They don't advertise this promo openly because it would ruin retailer's market.

500D shudn use 1080p coz not nice at 20fps. U shud use 720p. Most TVs in Msia don't do 1080p anyway.
