ACER X203h (HDCP compliant) + Playstation 3 = "Device incompatible"....

OK....I decided to cleverly sell my 20" non-hdcp display.....=.=*) at 9.45pm and rushed to buy a new display within 20 mins for my first time gaming at home. Plan was to get an Acer x203h which after researching has DVI-D HDCP compatibility and doesn't drill my wallet .

When I got to the shop, and tested out my slim(yes...bebeh goes around with me in my back ....gaming ready!!), it said "display incompatible"... ... HDCP + (HDMI-DVI) =

I'm now seeking the awesome help of the ps3 community as to fare on my quest to figure what happened. I connected it via HDMI-DVI cable, did the reset button procedure, double checked the display that it was well connected and performed CP....well, didn't do that, but still...."display incompatible" .

Anyone know how to fix it? Appreciate the help biggrin.gif

u need to set the display to 720p at other compatible monitor first then only u use it at ur monitor. it happened to my fren on the acer 24".dont know why..but that's the solution.
remember, 720P. it wont work on 1080P. i just tested with my monitor.. same monitor as ur's just now. only 720P.

yeah..since u're on a no display..the button solution also work if u dont have other monitor.

Thanks for the tips...luckily was able to optimize the console at the shop and its now working.
