i wana ask everyone tat is tat parallel homeline wiring is cause of STREAMYX Frequence Disconnections?
because i and my fren had rent a Single-Storey Terrace House
then we juz subscribe Streamyx at Sept09..
then i face the frequence disconnection problem(RIGER modem-108, DSL light stable bt juz "cannot open webpage") all the time seen my acc had been activate..
i had make many many complain to 100 TM and then TM keep tell me tat they had repair the PORT and had solve my problem..
in fact, i still facing the same problem..

then..today gt a TM staff call me..he ask me is tat my problem solve and blaar blaar ask many ting..then suddenly he ask me is tat my house gt parallel wiring for TM telephone line..
then i say YES..1 wire is connect to living room and 1 is connect to Master Bed Room(bt we din use it call out or call in langsung coz our motive is using Streamyx only)

then he start boom me,blame me tat din mentions this parallel line problem to those technician wor..he say the parallel line is causing me frequence disconnection wor..
lol...how i noe those thing o..
then he advice me tat nid re-wiring the TM cable frm 'tiang telephone' to my house..then juz can get "Connection yang CANTIK"..
i try ask he..how much normally contractor will charge the wiring..
then he say around RM70=80(depend to the kesusahan of wiring)

OMG..i wana ask sifu-sifu..
is tat the frequence Disconnections is cause by Parallel Wiring?
is tat Parallel wiring is the PUNCA UTAMA bagi frecuence disconnections of Streamyx?
so..i realy nid re-wiring ar?
or i had other way to solve the problem??

Tumpang your thread here. I'm also having the similar connection as yours.

The main line goes directly to my master bedroom phone jack. From the phone jack, it connected to another 2 lines out to alarm system and to downstair living room. My spliter is installed from the line in master bedroom to connect to ADSL Modem and a telephone set. This mean, that another 2 parallel line is connected before the spliter.

With this kind of setup, I realised that having intermittent disconnection problem. Sometimes can't even surf at all.

I'm not sure if this is due to parallel line problem? The downstair phone never use during streamyx connected time, will this cause any problem How about if install another spliter on downstair phone, will this help?

Yeah pls ensure not much parallel wiring otherwise ur DSL signal will become weak

Frequent Line Dropped

I got same problem since from wired modem to wireless from 18th Nov 2009 onwards.
Tried all. Gave up.
changed modem.
add adsl splitter at all voice phone outlets (4 phones 1 pc)
testing new splitters.

curious line ok wit billion modem .
no disconnect.
only RIGER DB108-WL.

pc room voice phone cant dialed out anymore. got dialing tone but line dropped/engaged after connected.
direct from wall to telephone also cannot get voice diallng out.

could it be Throttling by streamyx?
am doing torrents wit utorrent 1.2
i think no port forwarded by me on 2nd RIGER modem.
speed is fast but just disconnects >3 times a day.

Problem not solved yet
