Hope this is the right place for me to introduce myself. Otherwise, let me know.

My name is Andy Wong, from Malaysia, but currently living in New Zealand. I also have great interests and passion in anime and manga. The one particular genre of anime I'm hugely interested in giant robots or mecha in Japanese. And I like them very, very, very much.

I have a blog entitled Generation Mech's Journal that looks at all the interesting facts on super robot anime and its pop culture forming part of our general society of today. My purpose and motivation behind this blog is to increase awareness of these great super robot shows for the masses and promote them as a great hobby for any aspiring enthusiasts out there. Super Robot anime shows have been around for the last 30-40 years in the anime world so there's definitely a history there. And yet we still don't know how a great deal of them (maybe). We may remember the 80s ones like Transformers G1, Voltron, Macross, Taishou Daimos, Starvengers, Great Demon Daiking, Gundam etc and 90s like Neon Genesis Evangelion, Gunbuster, Transformers Masterfoce etc etc. I'm also covering in the areas from the 70s and 60s as well when the first super robot shows were born and many robot technologies were 'developed' at the time to astound the audience how incredibly advanced robots could turn out like that in those days.

In any rate, to keep it short, I have an anime blog that openly talks all the exciting developments of mecha in the modern world we're living, and find people that shares the same areas of interests and passions as I do. One of my long term goals behind my blog is to build a community where people can spend time talking a lot about mecha and convince many more people to come and join the fun of being a mecha fan!

I'm looking forward to meeting everyone in the forum (and hope to make friends along the way). And share my blog to those who wish to discuss anything-mecha-related in my blog. I hope you'll enjoy my blog as much as I do.
