I'll say .. download the alternative CD, mount it and run the cdromupgrade. Did that on my week old ubuntu server and now happily running 9.10 ..

use the normal update manager can what? easy process... but remember never shut down ur pc at any time especially during the installation process... (downloading process no problem as u can resume the download where u stopped)....

Well, you can use the Update Manager (System -> Administration -> Update Manager).
All you need to do is first install all the available updates, then, at the top right corner, there will be an option to upgrate to Ubuntu 9.10. Its will take some time though |

Its will take some time though why u need to update one by one before upgrading to 9.10??? shorter upgrade time??? why not upgrade straight away??? for example in 9.04 ur mozilla firefox is 3.0+ and updates are for 3.0+.... however if u upgraded to 9.10... u will have 3.5 straight away.... just my 2cents... waiting to hear ur answer... |
